Discover the majestic Cathedral Rocks in Yosemite for an unforgettable adventure.

Cathedral Rocks tower 2,000 ft above the Yosemite Valley floor alongside Cathedral Spires. One of the most breath-taking vantage points in the entire Yosemite National Park, this skyscraping formation of spires, cliffs, and buttresses will be sure to amaze. For reasons that quickly become apparent, Cathedral Rocks were originally named Poosenachucka, or "large cache of acorns", by the historic inhabitants of the land. While many trails weave themselves around this stunning rock formation, Bridalveil Falls is a crowd favorite that offers stunning views after a relatively simple hike.
The best time to visit Cathedral Rocks is from mid-April to mid-December when trails are accessible. Summer offers warm weather perfect for hiking and climbing, while spring and fall provide cooler temperatures and fewer crowds. Winter can be magical, but be prepared for limited access and snow-covered landscapes.
