We're in a farming town with 35+ vineyards nearby. We'd like to offer a great site to camp to those who want to get away from the big city. The Eyrie Farm is named for all the bird life around: Red-tailed Hawks nesting in nearby Eucalyptus, Prairie Falcons, wild California Quail, songbirds, plus our own turkeys, chickens, ducks and quail we raise for meat and eggs. Come stay with us and hike or tour the many wineries in the town of Ramona!We're an organic farm in Ramona, CA, just off hwy 78. Oat Prairie is our back pasture at "Eyrie Farm", 5 acres of open space, available for PRIMITIVE camping. Springtime sees the field lush and green from the rains! Summer and fall are hot and dry, but the evening breeze is nice. Due to uneven ground AWD or 4WD is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Most of the year outside spring, the pasture is brown and dry. Tall boots are highly recommended as the grass is full of foxtails. Most nights you'll hear coyotes. There are 40+ wineries and several nearby hikes to enjoy. The closest winery to us is Correcaminos ("roadrunner"), only 1.1 miles, or 3-minute drive). It's only about 5-10-minute drive to town proper if you need to shop. We have farm fresh eggs (as available) for purchase on-site. Cash, Venmo or Zelle. No toilet. Pack-it-out or BYO camping toilet. NO OPEN FIRES here. Small gas camp stoves are okay, as long as they are NEVER unattended. Every person -- adults and kids of ALL ages -- count toward party size. Children are not free. If you have MORE THAN 2 people, click the "+" at the booking box to add them. No RVs, trailers, or campers. No exceptions. Truck pop-up tents are fine. NO PETS. Guests with an Assistance animal must sign our contract. Be aware that assistance animal fraud is a crime. We are strictly NOT available after 9pm, so it's important to pay attention to our number and signage on the fence (DO NOT USE GPS) to arrive at the right place. Best to arrive before dark! No campfires

Currently NO FIRES allowed in the back pasture, until we can get a water source out there. You may bring propane camp stoves, but NO OPEN FLAMES.

No toilet; campers must bring camp toilets

No pets

No pets at all.

Potable water available

Spigot, hose, pump or well. There is a well in the main compound you can fill bottles/canteens from, as well as several spigots along the drive toward the pasture. All water is potable, though may not taste good due to nitrates.

No showers

Only WHEN AVAILABLE (if we don't have a Bnb guest that night, if you want to know, ask me). Showers are extra $5/person/night. There are also several spigots with hoses you're welcome to use. All water is safe/potable.

Please take your trash with you. If trash bags are left, we will fine you.

Roughly 20-minute lecture/demo on the care of backyard poultry, done at evening feeding time. We explain feeding, housing, where eggs come from, and overall keeping of our backyard flock. You can feed the birds, and pet or hold those who are willing! If we have baby birds you can hold some. $5 per person, cash pay on site.

Overall experience was fine. Signs for where to camp are small. Did not realize that we would be looking for a chainlink gate rather than a driveway. GPS leaves you next-door.

I enjoy staying at Anna's. There are gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants etc. located 2 miles from location. Location is very serene and quiet. I got to meet Anna. She is very kind. I look forward to returning here.

Eyrie Farm Party Tree

Had a bit of trouble finding their driveway on both Waze & Google Maps. A Quaint little farm with friendly animals and people, it was a sweet little camping spot under the pepper tree. The street in front was a bit noisy at night, but more secluded from other campers than many campgrounds. It was an interesting and enjoyable experience!

Beautiful farm in Wine Country

This was a wonderful, unique stay on a poultry farm! I could tell this family loves their animals and takes great care of them. Lots of birds to wake up to and farms all around. Anna was an awesome host. I bought some duck eggs from her and they were absolutely delicious. Would come back if I am ever in Ramona again!
