This small city at the base of a ski mountain serves up major outdoor fun.
This small city at the base of Mont Brome, which has the largest network of floodlit ski trails in North America, has been built around outdoor recreation. Skiers flock to the city in winter, but the ski hill turns into a paradise for mountain bikers in summer and fall, when the massive waterpark gets lots of use. Besides the ski hill, the city has tons of lakes, trails, and beautiful spots to explore, including a forest preserve with multi-use trails, Domaine Naturel du lac Gale.
A year-round destination with perhaps a heavier emphasis on winter tourism, Bromont offers a variety of seasonal pleasures. Summers are busy but glorious, and fall is spectacularly pretty. Winter camping is possible in the parks, with most offering cabins and other accommodations to facilitate this if you don't fancy -10°C in a tent. (It can get much colder!)
