Weekend Trip to Mountain Farm

Great place to visit. I give it 10/10 and highly recommend you book a trip. Having the trails close by is a bonus. Nancy and Kemp are good people. Thank you for letting me stay on your property.

1 night at Mountain Farm

My first winter camp was a success. I was in touch with Nancy prior to my trip to ensure I was prepared, directions were clear and response time was appropriate. On arrival I met with Kemp, he showed me around, gave me a map and supplied me with sufficient firewood to stay warm. Kemp and Nancy were flexible with check in and check out times. Overall I had a great experience, I learned a lot and I look forward to doing it again. Thank you for your hospitality and thank you for the fresh brew of coffee.

2 nights at Mountain Farm

It’s a wonderful spot near the Bruce Trail and an excellent choice for through-hikers. I’ve stayed here 3 times and still haven’t walked all the side trails nearby. Nancy and her husband go well out of their way to make sure I have everything I need. I will be back again.

Weekend Trip to Anthropocene Cottage

Jason was very helpful and sweet. It's a lovely spot to camp, I highly recommend! We enjoyed a night by the fire and there's lots of outdoor exploration to be done at this location. Jason was so willing to help us out with recommendations and accomodations, especially because it was so cold the night we stayed. Plus his dog is super cute!!! 10/10 place to stay.

Weekend Trip to Anthropocene Cottage

Enjoyed the hospitality and convenience of pitching a tent on Jason’s site. Located perfectly for my overnight Fastpacking trip on the Bruce Trail. Would recommend to anyone running/hiking through this section of the Bruce.

Additionally there is an unserviced camp site and Firepit in the mature Escarpment Natural woods behind the house with direct access to the Bruce Trail. hot tub, Gazebo, BBQ and electric available on request.

Enjoy our trees and gardens that surround our charming old stone farmhouse. Trampoline available (with permission). Trees, field, wildlife, campfire - our small piece of paradise. Near horseback riding. Close to Georgetown and Erin. Camper vans and RVs may park in driveway (not long term), and there is room for several tents. If you are through-hiking and want some meat or other goodies for the campfire (we have a grill), let us know what you'd like a week in advance, and we'll have it ready for you at cost (cash only, please).

On weekends, enjoy the sight of road biking groups exploring the scenic routes of King Roads. We're ideally situated for biking enthusiasts, with numerous trails and routes nearby. Our spot is simple yet convenient. We accommodate stays for up to 3 nights and provide free Wi-Fi, plug-in electricity via an extension cord from the main house, and access to well water through a hose (please note this is untreated well water). While we don't offer full hookups, our location is perfect for dry camping. You’ll be just minutes away from Seneca King Campus, Eaton Hall, and various hiking and biking trails. Downtown King City is only four minutes away, offering grocery stores, restaurants, and more. Whether you're attending a wedding, visiting a friend, or spending time with a student at Seneca King Campus, we are perfectly located for your stay. Day trips to Toronto? No Problem! The Aurora Go Train Station is 5 min away by car. Drive or take a $10 Uber! Take the GO-Train straight into downtown Toronto's main train station, Union Station, only a 40-50 min train ride on a comfortable train. Or drive to Toronto in about 35-45 min, depending on traffic.
