Our new addition is a yurt with double bed, and table for enjoying meals to make camping easy. Since 2008, I have worked in my home studio sewing Hanging HUGS custom luxury hammocks and shipping them around the world to make the world a more cozy place. HUGS fund my world travels and humanitarian projects, teaching many people how to make hammocks. You can learn to sew your own hammock and enjoy it here. An expedition sea kayaker and expert rock climber with more than 20 years experience giving clients a unique look at our province, it's my pleasure to introduce you to my favourite spots. Our sailboat is spacious, comfortable and fun... ready when you are. We also own an off-grid camping area 45 minutes south and have made a hiking trail to an epic location which I have been developing for climbing over 10 years. Kayaks and fat bikes to rent... we can fill a week with outdoor activities and make memories you'll never forget. This farm is a school of life. I am happy to share what I have learned about growing food, and my wife is an amazing cook who can teach how to make Korean food. Lots to do to fill a week, or just kick back in a hammock for a day by the pond, writing journal to reflect, soaking in the peaceful feelings. "The Old Canoe" is located in Cumberland Bay, New Brunswick, Canada (a small community centrally located between the major cities of Fredericton, Moncton, and Saint John). This shore-front property is located along the Cumberland Bay Stream, which flows through marsh wetlands and empties into Grand Lake (the largest fresh water lake in New Brunswick). Don’t forget your camera! There's lots to see in nature! An outdoor enthusiast's dream, our unique vacation rentals provide an authentic experience with nature with a mix of modern conveniences and off-grid, old-fashioned rustic charm. Perfect couples retreat, or singles needing a get-away. Fancy Outhouses are provided near your rental and near the Shore, and an Outdoor Heated Shower in the forest promises a refreshing experience. Guests enjoy FREE use of our shore, canoes, and kayaks (depending on weather conditions). SWIMMING IS NOT ADVISED, as it is somewhat muddy/marshy, and shallow ... but it's PERFECT for small watercraft and fishing! WHAT TO PACK: Food and ice in a cooler, and your clothes! You may also want to bring rubber boots or water shoes, sunscreen, and bug spray. Knotty Pines Island Getaway

Knotty Pines Island Getaway offers a unique camping experience that’s perfect for families, couples and singles to enjoy. Located on Coburn Island, Harvey Lake, it is 2 km from where you can put your water craft on the water. This 1.5 acre property is about as secluded as you can get on this lake and can give the illusion of having the whole place to yourself. Surrounded on all sides by water, you don’t have to worry about your pets running off or any predators lurking around. There is a bald eagle living there but I’ve never seen it land on the island. The ground cover is made up of dead evergreen needles and twigs of various sizes - there is no grass - so bring appropriate footwear. I wear sandals and get the occasional twig between the toes but not often enough to make me stop wearing them. I also recommend water shoes when swimming, as there are some sharp rocks just near the shore where we normally swim (I’ll have a path made this summer to prevent this issue). There are plenty of spaces to pitch tents and large trees for hammocks. Once you are settled, you have the lake to swim in and explore, or an island to relax on. A map with notable spots will be provided. There is a trail from one end of the island to the other making it easier to explore. Up in the tallest tree you will see a bald eagle’s nest which has been occupied for no less then 20 years. If you are there in the spring you can hear the eagle's chicks. Exploring the island you can expect to see an old loon’s nest, usually with the egg shells still present, and bones of various creatures that the eagle has eaten. You can also expect to see frogs, turtles, squirrels, various birds, ducks and loons. If you don’t happen to see a loon you will definitely hear them as the sun goes down. You will also hear the train which goes by a few times throughout the day. Pets are welcome and can roam free, but please scoop their poop. *Recommend to bring: bug spray, closed toe shoes, sunscreen, water shoes, floaties, fishing gear”
