    Learn more about this land:Enjoy the outdoors at our campsite at Shuswap Lake, where you can bring your own tent or RV. Our property sits just off the main road with a view of the lake and access to the beach and forest. We have two sites that can hold up to four guests each. Pets are welcome. Nearby lakeside attractions include Shuswap Lake Marine Provincial Park and Cinnemousun Narrows Provincial ParkThe property has a firepit with provided firewood, and a pit toilet is a 2-minute walk from the campsite. Flat parking is available. For those bringing an RV, the pull-in site can accommodate up to 40 feet in length. There are no hookups, and generators are not allowed. To the west along the lake, the communities of Scotch Creek and Ross Creek have a few shops and food options. The greater Shuswap Lake area offers a wealth of activities, from kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing, and fishing to visiting wineries and dining at local restaurants.

    We are privileged to permanently reside on and be the stewards of 7 acres beside Shuswap Lake, Okanagan BC, in the unceded territory of the Sechwepmec peoples. We have been creating a homestead in harmony with nature over the past 10 years. We reside year round in the Post and beam straw bale home that was built in 2000. Our current project is building our “aging in place” hemp lime cottage. Once completed it is our plan to build an in ground greenhouse. Additional future plans include building for a music studio, further development of our food forest, and the offering of self development training workshops. Additional camping/rv sites will be made available in the coming years. We look forward to offering fellow nature lovers an opportunity to appreciate the benefits and peace Braeheart Nature Retreat has to share. Whether you are seeking a more private get away or an opportunity to experience our developing homestead ideas/practices, we are devoted to meeting your desires. We are located 2km from Harald Provincial Pk. and the world renowned Margaret Falls. Our nearest town for services, Salmon Arm, is 25km away, and is host to the annual Roots and Blues Festival. Swimming, hiking, kayaking, wine touring, and weekly farmers markets are a few of the many local activities to enjoy. Those interested in a work/ stay opportunity are welcome to contact us to collaborate. We look forward to your stay with us! New photos with upgraded amenities will be added later this spring. Facilities on the campsite will be shared with a max. of 4 persons at any one time during the open season this year. We will be available on site, via text or in person to answer questions or meet any needs you may have. Most basic needs are provided, just bring your cooler of food and your set! June 14 to Sept./2024. Minimum 3 night stays. We hope to offer open house tours for any interested parties - stay tuned for dates/times!     This charming log house is situated on a family owned and operated 160-acre forested property with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Take in the serenity of this remote and unique property while enjoying the modern comforts of a freshly furnished home. Constructed in 1984, this beautiful log house was family built with wood sourced directly from the property. All water dispensed inside the log house is pumped directly from a year-round running spring behind the building. You are more than welcome to bottle up some spring water to take home! Our property is the perfect place to unwind and de-stress as you take in the picturesque views and fresh mountain air. Whether you are here to take it easy as a family or get a group of friends together for a celebration, you will feel right at home. Entering the front door at ground level you will find a king bedroom, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and large living/dining area with access to the rear patio. There is a staircase leading upstairs to the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and another bedroom which sleeps 3 with a bathroom just outside. The basement hosts an entertainment area with satellite TV (option for HDMI input), foosball table, board games and a beautiful 10 x 10 ft leather couch. There is also another bedroom with a queen bed and a backup single mattress which can be laid out. Let the kids loose outside in the large garden area. There will be some sporting equipment for guest use but feel free to bring your own. Go on a hike through the forest or relax on the deck by the pool and hot tub. End the night with some smores around the fire pit (weather and season permitting). We also have miles upon miles of trails that go all over the mountain, that you can access directly from the property. Ideal for ATVs or side-by-sides. You should receive nothing short of a five-star experience when staying at our property. If you have any requests prior to your stay we will always do our best to accommodate.
