We live in a little off-grid cabin deep in the Yalakom Valley in a small community of rustic-living and friendly folks. Please note that this property is located 40 km outside of Lillooet. Part of the road is a dirt road and a bit bumpy, best for cars that don't mind roughing it a little bit. You also lose service 5 minutes outside of Lillooet. The property is surrounded by private lots. You can explore ours down to the river or you can drive to other locations like the Horsehoe (a great swim spot), Carpenter Lake (great for swimming, too), Lac La Mere (good for fishing), Carol Lake, and much more.
This is a somewhat rustic and rugged spot- if you are looking for fancy glamping this is not the space for you! Vancouverites, you've been warned!

Wildlife viewings including bears, moose, deer, geese, ducks, hummingbirds, warblers, finches and wolves. Big open 360 degree mountain views. Bright stars and open field where you can tuck into the treed edge next to the deers! The moonlight can be as bright as daytime and the stars are quite a sight. The RV sites are for RV's that are self-sufficient without the need for electricity nor water in or out (no dumping and there is no running water nor an outhouse at RV sites).
RV's will be parking on grass and the site REQUIRES LEVELLING. We can accommodate vehicles up to 39ft in length.
Have your choice of bringing your own tent or using ours!
New Glamping Dome Tents with Queen Sized Beds, table and chairs and hammocks including a covered counter for cooking .
Unplug and Unwind to the sound of breeze through the trees and romantically flowing water from the nearby creek. There is no cell service or electromagnetic disruption here which makes for a beautiful peaceful mountain retreat. Bring your telescope for the opportunity to see clear, off the grid skies and epic star viewing for the astronomer in you.
The bookings are quite private and there is a lot of space between sites. If one of the Dome tents is booked, I block off the other so you'll be the only ones on the whole gravel pad area. There are trees and visual space blocking anyones' view between sites
Birkenhead Lake Provincial Park is walkable from our farm and there you can hike, fish, swim, paddle, and more! The road is a gravel road in winter would require 4x4. Otherwise we've seen many EVO cars (Prius Hybrid or fully electric Kia Niro) and even fancy Teslas and BMW sedan's on this road.

Weekend Trip to Deep Mountain Sea Cabin
Great spot in a quiet, peaceful location with beautiful views to wake up to. We planned to do more but ended up mostly chilling around the cabin (highly recommend the outside daybed!) and walking my dog to the river. Ren was really accommodating for my reactive dog, left the lights on for us as we were arriving late and provided some yummy home grown vegetables. Would love to stay again!

We loved the cabin! It has everything you need as is super cozy. The skylights are a really nice touch. It stayed cool enough for our dog during the hotter days too. The property is really beautiful and great to explore down to the river. Ren is super helpful and responsive. The surrounding area is rugged and fun to explore.

5 nights at Deep Mountain Sea Cabin
I loved this place so much. It’s remote and wild, yet totally charming and comfortable. I was looking for a nature experience and considered camping, but I wanted electricity and wifi to get some work done — this gave me all that and SO much more. Great soaking tub, private back deck, full kitchen, and the best host ever! Ren was respectful of my privacy and also made me feel so welcome in this amazing place, bringing me treats from the beautiful garden and showing me around this very special land. I hope to make it back again!

Weekend Trip to Deep Mountain Sea Cabin
Absolutely loved our three days at the cabin - just the right amount of comfort without overindulgence. It's a bit out there but that guarantees peace and quiet.
The cabin is very well crafted and there's great attention to detail to the staying experience. The kitchen, wood burning stove, skylights and comfortable beds certainly enhanced our experience.
What made it even better were the lovely hosts, the nice walk down to the river, and beautiful views.
One of the best Hipcamps we've stayed at - great work!
