Stowe Mountain Resort is a premier ski destination located in Stowe, Vermont, known for its picturesque New England charm and substantial snowfall, averaging around 314 inches annually. The skiing season typically runs from mid-November to mid-April, depending on weather conditions. The resort offers a diverse terrain that caters to all skill levels, including beginner-friendly slopes and advanced trails. It features two mountains, Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak, which are connected by a gondola. There are terrain parks for freestyle skiers and snowboarders, but the resort does not have dedicated backcountry areas within its boundaries. However, for those interested in cross-country skiing, the Stowe Cross Country Ski Center provides extensive trails. Night skiing is not available at Stowe. The lift system is modern and efficient, including a high-speed gondola that services both mountains. The views from the resort are stunning, with vistas of Vermont's Green Mountains. Stowe is family-friendly, offering ski and snowboard schools, as well as childcare services. Beyond skiing and snowboarding, the resort has ice skating at Spruce Peak Village Center, snowshoeing trails, and sledding opportunities. While there are no dedicated snow tubing or snowmobiling areas operated by the resort, these activities can be found in the surrounding area.
