Down the gravel road about 1/3 miles are logging roads to hike, bike and explore. OHV trails are a couple miles away but check local maps for detailed information. We’ll also be continuing to grow our family farm, orchard and of course our growing array of animals for you to visit. For guests we also have a community fire pit in our yard and host fires most nights that we have guests. This site has a private level aggregate 50 foot RV pad overlooking Lake Superior with 50/30 amp service, well water and septic hookups. This site is best for Class A, B or C RV's. Towables will work, but you will need to back in for access to your tow vehicle and your door will open away from the lake. No tents allowed. With respect for our good neighbors, no parties or loud music allowed. This site is for quietly relaxing with your family and friends and enjoying the big lake views. The site has 100 feet of private sandy beach and great swimming (sandy shallow bottom out 100 feet). Included is a wood fired Sauna to help with the lakes colder water. Also included is a 16x20 deck overlooking the lake, 2 picnic tables, deck chairs, gas grill, charcoal grill, beach chairs and 2 fire rings (Firewood is available to purchase onsite or can be purchased at several places on the way in). A separate flushable toilet enclosure is available and can be used if desired. A canoe, 2 kayaks and paddles are provided for you to use at your own risk (Some lifejackets are in the deck box). The premium site will support a 40 foot vehicle but require you to disconnect a towable at an angle for access to your vehicle. There is an additional RV parking spot with full hookups that may be available. Contact the host to confirm availability since I sometimes park my boat trailer there. The additional site will support a 30 foot vehicle again requiring you to disconnect at an angle for access to your tow vehicle (30 amps only from this additional site via a provided extension cord). A large Class A or C will require you to have good backup skills to get out and a spotter to watch for obstacles and clearance on the way in and out, but it is easily done. Plenty of blocks are provided for additional clearance if needed. ATT has good cell service here and Verizon is OK but marginal at times.

This site has a private level aggregate 50 foot RV pad overlooking Lake Superior with 50/30 amp service, well water and septic hookups. This site is best for Class A, B or C RV's. Towables will work, but you will need to back in for access to your tow vehicle and your door will open away from the lake. No tents allowed. With respect for our good neighbors, no parties or loud music allowed. This site is for quietly relaxing with your family and friends and enjoying the big lake views. The site has 100 feet of private sandy beach and great swimming (sandy shallow bottom out 100 feet). Included is a wood fired Sauna to help with the lakes colder water. Also included is a 16x20 deck overlooking the lake, 2 picnic tables, deck chairs, gas grill, charcoal grill, beach chairs and 2 fire rings (Firewood is available to purchase onsite or can be purchased at several places on the way in). A separate flushable toilet enclosure is available and can be used if desired. A canoe, 2 kayaks and paddles are provided for you to use at your own risk (Some lifejackets are in the deck box). The premium site will support a 40 foot vehicle but require you to disconnect a towable at an angle for access to your vehicle. There is an additional RV parking spot with full hookups that may be available. Contact the host to confirm availability since I sometimes park my boat trailer there. The additional site will support a 30 foot vehicle again requiring you to disconnect at an angle for access to your tow vehicle (30 amps only from this additional site via a provided extension cord). A large Class A or C will require you to have good backup skills to get out and a spotter to watch for obstacles and clearance on the way in and out, but it is easily done. Plenty of blocks are provided for additional clearance if needed. ATT has good cell service here and Verizon is OK but marginal at times.

We had a wonderful stay at Ryan’s glamping site! The tent was spacious and felt cozy, with the lighting providing ambiance and even throw pillows and blankets for an extra touch of warmth. We enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of rain falling on the tent, while remaining dry inside. The site was easy to find and we were greeted upon arrival. It was the perfect place to stay while we spent the weekend immersed in nature, exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula. We are already planning to go back next year!

I found this place on a whim and It turned out to be paradise in the UP. A few friends were planning to accompany me but then I ended up solo on a perfect getaway from everything! If you’re looking for a quiet escape on the lake with a sauna, well this is it…. The hot shower is a big bonus of this stay. It does get quite dark so make sure you check your headlamps for charged batteries (unlike me) or you’ll have to use your phone or stats to guide you back to your tent ;-) If you use the sauna, plan to wait a while for ideal temps but very easy to manage - just turn the knob and set it for 2hrs or more for warmer temps. Mike is very friendly and brought me a cup of homemade applesauce the morning after I got in. I really enjoyed the sauna, dip and relax time here. Me and my dog Lady lost track of time when the day came to depart, and I wasn’t rushed out by any means. Thank you Mike & Company.

Such a beautiful property with the best of everything - a cozy, forested campsite with all the amenities, PLUS beautiful beachfront access to Lake Superior. Howard is attentive and thoughtful, ensuring you have everything you need for your stay and offering up local sights and attractions to complete your trip (he is also super respectful of your privacy). You cannot beat camping under the stars...I promise, you've never seen so many! Best times would be fall colors, northern lights, or the many August meteor showers (we missed those, but did see a few shooting stars, as well as the Starlink Satellite Train - look it up!). It's only a few minutes' walk from the forested camp site down to the beach, and it's a beautiful path down there. Bring headlamps and plan to use the provided cart to haul your gear, as there are some hills along the way (especially if you have kids with beach toys, floaties, etc.). Recommend taking a light load if you are going to camp at the beach - "glamping" would be tough. Very few people walking along the beach, mostly neighbors - all extremely friendly but not at all intrusive. Overall, very private. We were not concerned at all with sleeping right on the sand or leaving our tent and items unattended. There are several grills available between both sites and a deck down by the beach. An experience like no other - you have to see it for yourself! Thanks to Howard for the awesome hospitality and an amazing family vacation full of memories.

An absolutely gorgeous experience. One of the best locations I have had the pleasure of camping. Flat, dry spot for a tent. Fire ring with two tables. An outdoor bathroom WITH quality toilet paper AND air freshener. Lake views and access that can't be beat. Not to mention, turn around to experience pink sunsets over marshlands with cranes. Enjoy sunrises that make the skies and the water one in the same shade of endless blue. Sandy shores for swimming and your own view of "Pictured Rocks" without the long lines. There are bugs, so come prepared, but not an abnormal amount. It's pure, wholesome peace. Thank you for the opportunity! I will be recommending this location to others.

Our family of five plus our pup really enjoyed staying in the 26 foot camper. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed from linens for the beds, towels, to kitchen supplies. Howard was a great host and responded quickly to any questions I had. This was the perfect location right off 41 which made it super easy to explore all that Keweenaw has to offer, including being close to all the trails. We brought our Jeeps and had so much fun exploring the northern top of the peninsula all the way down to Houghton. Great spot, would definitely stay here again!

This piece of property was perfect! It offered both sand beach to the east and wilderness to the west. You can experience sunrises and sunsets from your own site. He pulled our camper in with some finagling( hope your as good as my hubby) and boondocked very successfully. We are already making plans to return! Gentle Breeze is exactly that. Enjoy solitude with beautiful surroundings, a serene lake to watch the sunset and a relaxing sauna and shower at the end of the day. It was perfect! We brought some local wood but also used some of the felled smaller logs there. Bring something to cut them with, we just used a small axe. We will definitely be back again and we’ll bring our kayaks.

This homestead is beautiful! We are greeted by 2 cows. The brown faced steer kept staring at me (got a little self conscious) and they are adorable, but don’t pet. The site is private and quiet. Evan is a gracious host and helped us find our way to the site. Easy access to all the sites. The outhouse is very clean! In a clear night you can see all the stars.
