There is a 4wd access road through to the mapleton national park for you to enjoy the hiking trails and nature. We want your camping experience at Cedar Banks to be delightful while respecting our local community, wildlife, and surroundings. To keep the area pristine, fires must be in allocated pits. You must bring your own wood or purchase some from us in advance and we will have it ready for you on arrival. Pets are welcome with prior approval, but they must follow property rules. Swimming is allowed only during daylight hours, and caution is advised due to natural creek conditions. Jumping or diving is prohibited. For the safety of all guests, property access is strictly for booked individuals, and non-paying visitors are not permitted. We encourage exploration on foot, as all areas are easily accessible. Please do not drive your vehicle around the property. As there are no on-site toilets, kindly bring your own camp toilet and ensure proper waste removal. You will find a free dump point at Eumundi RV stop over on Napier road or in Kenilworth at the Showgrounds. At Cedar Banks, we promote a friendly and respectful environment. Formally a banana & pineapple plantation, Hunchy Hills is strictly 4WD only access property. There is a toilet and gas hot shower included. If you have a camper trailer it needs to be off-road/high clearance and you need to be experienced in towing off road. No caravans or Hybrids sorry, too steep and tight. Sites 1-3 are large level pads approx. 12M by 12M, each with their own fire pit and log seat. Site 4 is perched on the side of the hill and 6M by 6M in size. Arena, round yard on property and off property trail riding is available at your leisure. There is spring fed dam if you wish to have a dip with your horse right on your camp sites. GreyGum is a shady, lush and beautiful property with private access straight to Kenilworth state forestry trails (motorbikes and vehicles expected). To drive to camping space, you will need 4 wheel drive. In extreme weather events, we are unable to host. Noise must be kept to a minimum from 10.30 pm. Dogs are allowed, on leash at all times. All rubbish and mess must be taken with you. There are 2, spacious horse yards available, which can be split to 4 if you bring your own piggy tails and electric tape/equipment. If yards filled, there is space to set up your own pens. Horses must respect fencing. Trail rides, horse/ pony riding lessons (on our horses) and guided trails on your own horses are available if you need a guide through the extensive trails in the state forest. We are a small family run business and we live on the property. Please be respectful of us and we will happily share our beautiful property with you. Entrance to camp sight is on the KENILWORTH side of Beattie Creek, at the driveway with the GREEN BIKE. Please do not go up the steep drive on the Imbil side of Beattie creek. IMPORTANT please note, we do NOT have amenities or drinking water. You need to be self sufficient and bring your own shower/toilet, and take with you ALL waste. The sites are level pastured camping areas with lovely trees providing good shade alongside the river. We have tried to preserve the natural ecosystem on the river bank so it is heavily wooded and largely untouched. The total area for camping is approximately 500 metres with only four sites spaced far apart to ensure plenty of space and privacy. Each site has very easy access to the river, via a couple of tracks. You can enjoy swimming and kayaking in the river. Fishing is welcome when permitted but must be catch and release only. There is plenty of wildlife to see, especially for bird watchers: kingfishers, parrots and birds of prey as well as platypus, air breathing lungfish and Mary River turtles. Access is 4WD or AWD only. In severe weather the Mary River can flood. Be prepared to leave in extreme weather. On the property, you’ll find 13 horses grazing freely, along with 9 friendly goats, including adorable baby goats, 6 chickens, and 2 friendly dogs. Camp riverside down by the creek or on the elevated flat area where the horses graze, perfect for caravans or camper trailers. Firewood is available to purchase when making your booking and collect on arrival. A Porta loo is located between the campsites, and wheelie bins for rubbish and recycling are available. We also provide a bin for any food scraps which goes to our chickens. There’s also a large communal area with a campfire pit, close to the water for a great view, with steps for easy access to the creek, ideal for social gatherings. This communal area has log seating around the fire, hammocks in the trees and sandy tracks to the creek where you can throw in a line. Guests with horses can bring up to two per booking. You may set up a portable yard off your float or request a private paddock, this needs to be arranged in advance. Please note that stallions are not permitted. Horse-related activities, require at least one week’s notice prior to your stay. The creek is tidal, offering opportunities to fish, swim, or explore by stand-up paddleboard or inflatable boat. Pony rides for children are available at an additional cost, payable in cash on the day & subject to availability. Msg Jenna at least 1 week prior to book this. Buckets of goat feed can also be purchased to hand feed the goats during your stay. We currently have 3 kids who are very cuddly and cute with twins due any day now. Our location is gold, just a 2-minute drive from Aldi, Coles, and Woolworths in Nambour, with the Sunshine Plaza just 10 minutes away for shopping, dining, & entertainment. BWS just a K down the road. Equestrians will appreciate the 5-minute drive to Nambour Showgrounds, which features a modern indoor sand arena. A cheap way to keep the kids entertained and cool, head to Nambour Pool which has waterslides & a water park for little ones. Just 5mins away. **STRICTLY NO PETS OR OTHER ANIMALS ALLOWED.**

GreyGum at Beattie Creek is a 64 Acre property a stones throw away from the centre of Kenilworth town. GreyGum is a horse property, playing host to a riding school. We have recently opened camping for horsey and non horsey people alike. With very limited camping spaces, we offer privacy, horse yards, hitching rails, a seasonal creek with swimming holes and toilets. Arena, round yard on property and off property trail riding is available at your leisure. There is spring fed dam if you wish to have a dip with your horse right on your camp sites. If you ask us how to ride to the pub or a donut, we are happy to direct you! (We like to ride to the pub for a beer!). GreyGum is a shady, lush and beautiful property with private access straight to Kenilworth state forestry trails (motorbikes and vehicles expected). To drive to camping space, you will need 4 wheel drive. In extreme weather events, we are unable to host. Noise must be kept to a minimum from 10.30 pm. Dogs are allowed, on leash at all times. All rubbish and mess must be taken with you. There are 2, spacious horse yards available, which can be split to 4 if you bring your own piggy tails and electric tape/equipment. If yards filled, there is space to set up your own pens. Horses must respect fencing. Trail rides, horse/ pony riding lessons (on our horses) and guided trails on your own horses are available if you need a guide through the extensive trails in the state forest. We are a small family run business and we live on the property. Please be respectful of us and we will happily share our beautiful property with you. Entrance to camp sight is on the KENILWORTH side of Beattie Creek, at the driveway with the GREEN BIKE. Please do not go up the steep drive on the Imbil side of Beattie creek. This drive is extremely difficult to get up with a float. ****Please note, camping underneath trees on the property at your own risk. Moy Park is our home and our livelihood, we are a working dairy farm with 120 milkers that supplies milk to Norco. Our farm is 160ac with the beautiful Mary river along the boundary, perfect for fishing and camping! It is situated in the Mary valley between Kenilworth (8 mins), Eumundi (15mins) and Imbil (12mins). So lots of options to have an adventure, see new things and explore! Sunrises, sunsets and night skies filled with stars are unforgettable! The river water levels depend on rainfall and run off. We have 4 sites available with a short walk down to the river. Fire pits are at all sites and camp fires are to be kept to the fire pits supplied only. There is plenty of dead wood and debris for fires, we have firewood available for you to buy so you don’t have to pack it as well. No burning of any rubbish, especially cans and glass. IMPORTANT please note, we do NOT have amenities or drinking water. You need to be self sufficient and bring your own shower/toilet, and take with you ALL waste. The road to the campsite currently is only grass, when dry it is 2WD accessible, but 4WD is best. Dogs must be on a leash at all times and must be cleaned up after. As we are a working dairy we are happy to trial having dogs here.

The sites are level pastured camping areas with lovely trees providing good shade alongside the river. We have tried to preserve the natural ecosystem on the river bank so it is heavily wooded and largely untouched. The total area for camping is approximately 500 metres with only four sites spaced far apart to ensure plenty of space and privacy. Each site has very easy access to the river, via a couple of tracks. You can enjoy swimming and kayaking in the river. Fishing is welcome when permitted but must be catch and release only. There is plenty of wildlife to see, especially for bird watchers: kingfishers, parrots and birds of prey as well as platypus, air breathing lungfish and Mary River turtles. Access is 4WD or AWD only. In severe weather the Mary River can flood. Be prepared to leave in extreme weather. Campers must be self sufficient with their own camping toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Pets are welcome.

We were so surprised pulling up to this camp. Super private and surrounded by sounds of the rainforest. The host was incredible and provided things we didn’t even realise we needed, and we’re usually very well prepared! The host went above and beyond with this camp. The camp ground was beautiful and well maintained. We took a short walk up stream and saw the rock pools, so pretty and they would be great after lots of rain! We loved this as soon as we arrived, we will definitely be back!

Next time, we’ll be staying much longer! We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, camping experience. Recommended to us while enjoying Byron Bay, the sunsets didn't disappoint, And when the horses shared the skyline, it was a quick reminder how beautiful Earth is.. There is a few ways to get to the creek edge but go slow. The easiest is the concrete steps near the Kayak. Low tide exposes a couple of easy crossings to sand banks. Could see and hear fish, clearly I haven't yet mastered the sport. THANK YOU to the host and helpers for wowing the kids with the playful twin goats and herd, aswell as a bit of hands on horse education. ( and for the time out it gave us adults lol) The Xmas lights are a nice touch and they show you where the toilets are in the dark. Toilets were a good bonus. Little road noise yet the experience well made up for it..

We had a very relaxing 3 days on site 3. A big open field surrounded by beautiful trees. It was freshly mown on arrival. A short walk to town but still very quiet. The river another short walk for a swim. It was rocky and not too deep but we still spent plenty of time swimming. Overall excellent value and we will visit again.

Great spot with good sized camping spots along a rocky creek. Our site had a picnic table and swing (which none of the other sites had) a big fire pit and direct access to the creek. All sites have good tree coverage and open sunny places. My dogs loved the space and creek. There were piles of cut firewood to use (but I wouldn’t rely on it, I think it was just the owner leaving branches and trees that came down in the storm for people to use). There is a drop toilet as well which is very rustic. Great little spot close to Yandina.

Great spot with large grassy open areas well spaced apart, with very nice views of surrounding hills. As many have said, sites 3 & 4 are the largest and best suited to larger vans, and site 2 has the best shade in summer. River access is via a communal path (sites don't have separate access) which is steep, but once you are down there it's heaven.

Definitely need a 4WD with low range to get into and out of the property...semi steep decent into the camping location. Easy directions to follow for location. Very spacious campground, lots of space between sites. Upon our entry, we had 1 horse seem to guide us to our campsite. We were in Campsite 1 (Mane meadow). Set up overlooking the creek. We wandered the campground before sunset.

We spent 5 wonderful days at Kenilworth Rural Camping and enjoyed the serenity, location and grassy green sites. Staying at both site 3 and 1. Shane was great, friendly and helpful. With only 5 sites, it was nice and quite. Kenilworth and the river is within short walking distance. We will definitely be returning.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kenilworth Rural Camping and meeting Shane. Big, open grassy sites, we camped at site 3 and site 1. Each of the five sites, had a fire pit. Site 3 provided a great amount of shade trees to sit under during the hot days. Site 1 was on the banks of a pretty pond. Both sites were well located to recharge our solar panels. The campground is a short walk to the Mary River and into Kenilworth town. We enjoyed our 4 night stay so much we booked an additional night!

Walked part of Thilba Thalba walk to viewpoint. Overgrown at points and saw snake so wear long pants. But worth the walk to view and gorgeous landscape.
