The Top Place

29km from Talawahl State Conservation Area · 10 sites · Tents, RVs, Lodging
Perfectly perched on top of a rise looking out across the valley, our property is close to the beach, on a river, and a short drive away from glorious waterfalls and swimming holes, yet only 2 minutes drive from the Pacific Highway. It has stunning views across rolling green hills. There are plenty of birds and quiet places to ponder nature's bounty and beauty. Wake up in paradise, and watch the sun set over the hinterland. Close to the townships for shopping, dining and visiting local attractions of Kew, Harrington, North Haven and Laurieton for those keen to explore. Fancy a paddle? Stewarts River, on which we border, rises on the northern slopes of Big Nellie (which we look out too) within the Coorabakh NP flowing east by south & then east being joined by the Camden Haven River before reaching its mouth at Watson Taylor Lake. It descends 132m over its 62kms course. Crowdy Bay National Park, Coorabakh, Middle Brother National Park for those 4WD adventures.

Camp Dunbogan

100%
(10)
30km from Talawahl State Conservation Area · 7 sites · Tents, RVs
Located on the Camden Haven River in Dunbogan, we offer a select few grassy sites overlooking our private saltwater lake, with North Brother Mountain providing a stunning backdrop. Please note that we welcome fully self-contained caravans and motorhomes — apologies but the sites are not really suitable for tents/swags. There is no water, power or ablution facilities on site. Grey water is not an issue. Although the property spans several acres, we offer only a few sites to ensure serenity, space, and ample room to manoeuvre. All sites are on raised grassy ground among Moreton Bay figs and gum trees. Freshwater dams and wetlands attract abundant wildlife, including kangaroos and a variety of birds. We love our free-range wildlife and hope you do too — therefore, we have a strict no-pet policy. We’re close to Dunbogan Boatshed for coffee, Pilot and Dunbogan Beach, scenic lookouts, and shops just across the bridge in Laurieton township — making this camp both peaceful and convenient. The Dunbogan area is perfect for swimming, walking, hiking, fishing, boating, kayaking, sightseeing, bushwalks, shopping, cycling, surfing, bird and nature watching, dining out, or simply relaxing on site. If you’re here for New Year’s Eve, you can enjoy the 9 pm fireworks from the Laurieton United Services Club — all from the comfort of your camp chair (just don’t forget your glass of bubbles!). We trust you’ll enjoy your visit. 😊

If you're looking for somewhere quiet and secluded that welcomes dogs, you'll love Diamond Park Campsite. Situated in beautiful Diamond Beach and backing on to the national park, this property offers two beautiful campsites suitable for tents, caravans, and campervans. Both sites are fenced so your dogs can be off-leash while inside the campsite (on-leash at all other times). Bush walk, bird watch or bring your kayak to paddle in the dam. You’ll feel like you’re miles away from it all, but it’s only a few minutes’ drive to dog-friendly beaches (Diamond Beach and Black Head Beach), cafes, a pub and a supermarket. Each site has a fire pit and free firewood is supplied. There’s also a paved undercover area with a rainwater tank and a table and chairs to seat 6-8 people comfortably. We’ve got you covered with the creature comforts: an amenities building including 1 hot shower, 1 flushing toilet, sink, washing machine and power points for charging your phone. You’re welcome to stroll through the property, where you’ll see fallow deer, sheep, wallabies, and a variety of bird life. We love welcoming groups of family and friends to enjoy catching up in nature, and we pride ourselves on offering a relaxed, friendly experience.
