Pets are welcome but please only let them off-leash if they are friendly and won't disturb other campers. Free Dump points are located at Dalmeny and Moruya. Please note: Whilst we can accept motorhomes and campervans in normal weather conditions, if there has been heavy rain access is effected and these vehicles will struggle to get to the campsites. We will do our best to keep an eye on the weather report, and let you know if we have any concerns. We ask that you kindly do the same.

Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge is a 330 acre farm which provides sanctuary to kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and many bird species including their habitats. There are Alpacas and Sheep, Kangaroos, Wombats, Kookaburras, Echidnas and many other animals that enjoy this property. The land has 80 acres of cleared grassland this side of the river, and for the adventurous and energetic you can rome the other 250 acres by crossing to the other side of the rive, there are large stands of rainforest and bushland, with 2.5 km of Brown Mountain Creek and its tributary meandering through it. There are some swimming holes and mini rapids; the crystal clear water flowing over the river rocks can be heard from most parts of the farm. The land comprises Little Brown Mountain and has 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and farmland with wonderful cloud formations and mists contributing their mystery and beauty to the dramatic landscape. There is an orchard with trees producing several varieties of apple, stone fruit and citrus in abundance. A cottage garden produces various vegetables and herbs such as spinach, celery, potatoes, garlic, chives, lettuce, rocket, parsley, turmeric, peas, beans, tomato etc. Past bushfire damage to some trees in the cleared paddocks is evident however, many are recovering well and most provide photographers with interesting and dramatic subject matter. Due to the catastrophic events of the NSW bush fires in this area all camp fires must be kept responsibly safe and no unsafe camp fires will be tolerated. Thank you for visiting farm.

It is a 35 minute drive to the beaches near Bermagui, whilst the historic and quirky town of Tilba is 40 minutes away. The crystal clear Yowrie River flows along the western side of the property with numerous secluded swimming holes. Beautiful Coastal farmland near to Mimosa Rocks National Parks. Easy to access. Close to stunning townships of Bermagui just 15mins north and Tathra 30mins south. Observe an abundance of wildlife - spot an eagle, kangaroo, wallaby, possum, goanna, wombat or whale! Surf or swim any of the amazing beaches or lagoons -Bunga, Hidden Valley, Arraganuu, Bithry, Cuttagee, Camel Rock, Horseshoe Bay or Blue Pool. Walk the dog at Beares beach in Bermagui or Cuttagee beach, 10mins drive north. This is an incredible coastline to explore. Enjoy local fresh produce from Bermagui farmers market in summer on Thursday afternoons; Saturday market at Honorbread courtyard; fresh seafood either catch yourself or purchase from Bermagui Fishermans Wharf. There is a little shed on this patch of land and campers have access to an undercover area off the side of the shed plus half of the inside area of the shed not being used for storage. There is a rainwater tank at the back of the shed. A nice, new compost toilet faces into the bush, we no longer use the one at the back of the shed. To locate when heading south on Tathra -Bermagui Rd , Turn left into Hergenhans Rd which is approx 14km south of Bermagui, then left into Wrens Rd (Goalen N Rd on google maps) , follow Wrens Rd about 800m and you'll see a gateway on your right with Hipcamp sign (Bunga Summit). It is opposite gateway on left with Lot 3 sign. The next gate is padlocked where the shed is. To access Bunga Beach, continue along Wrens Rd through neighbouring properties. The road has recently been resurfaced so is now accessible with 2WD. This is National Park so you can't have dogs here. To access Back Bunga Beach continue along Hergenhans Rd and left onto O'sheas Rd which is also a good accessible road. taking you through neighbouring properties and ending at Mimosa Rocks National Park. This is an amazing walk from the carpark south along the beach to Hidden Valley. For dog walking beaches head to Cuttagee just 10mins north towards Bermagui, or Beares Beach in Bermagui. For injured wildlife or any wombats with mange around the campsite please phone my neighbour Sara as she volunteers for Wildlife Rescue South Coast. Sara 0435 614 243 Please be respectful of neighbours and do not fly drones over private property.

We are not and never will be a 'caravan park' - your group will have exclusive use of the campsite. Each are far from each other, both are right near to - or very close to - the river. Our guests love the tranquility and not having to share! Fish the river for flathead or bream and enjoy it for dinner by the campfire. Bring your kayak or SUP or just enjoy a swim in the clear sandy-bottom river. Once your booking request has been confirmed, let us know if you need more specific directions so you can find us easily. Well behaved (spoilt) dogs okay but please no hunting type dogs. Both sites have access to separate taps for fresh drinking water. Site #2 has access to our composting toilet. You'll need to bring your own chemical toilet for Site #1 (near) Boatramp site. Firewood can be collected from the property or supplied at a small fee (you can book this when you book your site). Feel free to collect your own kindling - plenty around). Good mobile reception on the Telstra network. PLEASE NOTE: the property is currently listed for sale. We are happy to take forward bookings with this understanding and will contact all booked parties well in advance if we sell. The market is very slow so we do not expect a fast sale and will ask for a long settlement so please still book :)
