Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
Silver Hills is a 150-acre property located in Cunderdin, on Ballardong country, offering around half the property to campers to enjoy and explore. The land was once conventionally farmed but it's been free from chemical use and tillage for about 14 years, in which time it's been left to rewild and used only for light grazing. The hill block is acres of typical 'jam country', with York gum, and Sheoak vegetation. We ask that campers stick to this particular area of the property. Campers can enjoy a quiet and private stay in nature, free to walk around and explore the bush at their leisure. There are usually sheep and horses grazing throughout the paddocks. Year-round there's lots of bird watching and wildlife to discover. There are swathes of untouched bushland for campers to explore, that bursts into colour during August and September when the native wildflowers bloom. During the season, there are many different species blooming - colours ranging from pinks, yellows, oranges, blues, and white. A photographer or artist's delight! There are a few banks/ponds on the property and the hill has a lot of large rocks that can be slippery, so we ask that children aren't left to wander alone and hikers are careful. All campers need to be fully self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and we kindly ask they take all waste with them when they leave. Pets are welcome too but must be kept on a lead, and campfires are permitted in the designated fire pits when local fire restrictions aren't in place and conditions are ok. Preparation for our organic market garden has begun on the far east of the property, where we are working on hugelkulture beds and swales for agroforestry systems. If you are a fellow gardener feel free to pop over for a chat! In town, Cunderdin has a few different attractions including the museum, local shops, and pub, golf course, Cunderdin Hill lookout - which also gets beautiful wildflowers in season.

Great place, great views. We had the whole camp for ourselves. 2 of the sites are next to each other but within reasonable distance...might not be private enough for some. Cunderdin is approx. 10 minutes away if you need supplies. The pub looks great. There's also a very well-maintained playground in town for those with families. Lastly, the camp ground was filled with "fertilizer" all over; so, be prepared for flies...there are lots of them. Loved it. Will definitely come back soon.

Wonderful secluded spot with a large area of bush only a short walk away to explore. There is a chemist, IGA, and free caravan wastewater disposal in the town, a 5 minute drive away.
