Within a 60-minute drive from the Swift Run Gap Entrance Station.
Situated about 30 minutes from Lake Anna, this old colonial property features wildlife, quiet, and colonial ruins. We are approximately 25 minutes from civilization where you can shop and dine. We are also about 10 minutes from the nearest country store/gas station. We sell firewood, fresh eggs, and bottled water. We have the capability to help move your gear to the camp site and back to your vehicle if needed. Right now, we only offer primitive camping, but will be offering a cabin later this year. We also have a small private pistol range!C’mon out and relax next to a small spring fed stream. The babbling water is relaxing. We have stools and a fire pit; bring your tent and just unplug! If you don’t mind walking through brush, there is a small sand bar that can be your own private beach (about a quarter mile away).

Primitive Site in a Quiet Location
Second time camping here, it was amazing, just like the last time. Very secluded campsite, but still close enough to the parking that you can grab anything if needed. John is a great host.

Great spot and host
This site is incredible, as is John. It is next to a small steam near the site that you can hear at night, and a fishing spot not too far. Lots of space to walk, and very private. We will absolutely be coming back!

Babbling Brook Campsite
John was a great host! He helped us bring our equipment down to the camping spot, showed us around the property, and then left us to ourselves for the rest of the stay! This helped us feel perfectly isolated even within the property limits. Fire wood was a good price and helped keep us warm all night and we were able to catch a trout within the river tucked on the edge of the property. A babbling brook adjacent to our campsite made for a very peaceful night sleep. Overall 10/10 camping experience and we would be happy to come back to unwind any time.
