High Country Paradise is a beautiful campsite that offers spacious and private sites, perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat in nature. With a stunning creek and views of Mt Buffalo, it's an ideal spot for families and groups alike. The hosts, Loretta and Gary, are consistently praised for their hospitality, making guests feel welcome and at home. Despite one mention of septic tank issues, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many visitors planning to return.

We were okay with the camping ground itself — nice spot and decent facilities. However, our experience with the agent was disappointing. Since it was a Friday, we were told to turn off even normal music by 7:30pm, which we did. We had a few kids with us, and naturally, they made a little noise while playing — it’s a camping trip after all! But the agent kept texting us about the noise, which really killed the vibe. Camping should be about fun and letting kids enjoy some freedom, especially on the weekend. If you’re planning to go with children, this might not be the ideal place. Also, due to wind, a couple of small tissue pieces blew away without us even noticing, and the agent complained about that too. Overall, the campsite was fine, but the strict and overbearing approach from the agent took away from the experience.

What a gorgeous place to set up camp! The creek was lovely. The mountain views were stunning. The distance between campsites was perfect, allowing for a sense of privacy. The hosts were responsive. I will definitely book this place again as Catani campground is always booked up and I will definitely be back to Mount Buffalo again.
