Sharon's campsite offers a tranquil escape, just an hour from Melbourne, nestled among trees with a peaceful atmosphere. The host, Sharon, is consistently praised for her friendliness and hospitality, making guests feel welcomed and comfortable. Wildlife enthusiasts will appreciate the abundance of birds and occasional kangaroo sightings, adding to the natural charm of the setting. Though close to town amenities, the site maintains a serene bush feel, ideal for those looking to unwind while still having access to modern conveniences like a flushing toilet.
A lovely relaxing place amongst the trees. Sharon is a delightful host, and the great advantage is that it’s only an hour from Melbourne. Lots of wild life and wonderful birds to enjoy.
We loved camping on Sharon’s private property. Not too far from town but far enough to feel you are in the bush. Loved the setting. The dam was pretty. Sharon was a pleasure to deal with.
We loved the place and the host was friendly. She had a nice little garden next to our campsite. A clean toilet was available and we had the privacy and space we needed.
Everything was well organised and accessible at the campsite. The toilet, potable water and power was straightforward to access. The site was between the trees as stated and surrounded by farms. The location is a half hour walk to Woodend, very close by car. The host was friendly and helpful.
One thing to consider is the site is very near the host's home so if you're looking for privacy, this is not the site, and bringing any young kids that yell together or dogs that bark when we they see new dogs or people is hard to manage in this setting. But besides this, the property is beautiful, convenient and we had a great time camping.
What a beautiful peaceful spot. 1hr dive from Melbourne and a couple of minutes to the town centre. Sharon is a fantastic host and made us feel at home. Higley recommended for a stress free getaway.
