The site was awesome as usual, like it coz it’s not so busy. Just wanted to give feedback on the recently installed flood lights at the toilets. In my opinion, it removes the outback experience as star gazers etc, like me, like the more natural camp fire. I felt it spilt it a bit. In the past, just the toilet lights kept on are enough for people to get there safely…we usually have torches. Additionally, I think you should let people know gate and toilet codes before they get there. I had signal, but others not with Telstra didn’t and so the family I helped would have been in a it of a spot. Hope the above is positive feedback, intended as such. Missed Bill and his dogs greeting me 😢 RIP.

Great time at Pointro, Lake Maroon

Pointro camp was fantastic. When visiting Lake Maroon don't expect the establishment of the more popular lakes as it's quite remote and quiet but the water sports and lake scenery in general is as good as it gets! Pointro has great facilities and access to the lake including boat ramp from the camp. Mostly sloping sites so enquire to try get a flat spot if needed. We will be back 😁
