Situated on the bank of the Andromache River, setup camp at one of our cozy camp spots and enjoy the quiet of the bush. We have sites available in our grassy paddock which are accessible by all vehicles. Sand camping is available for 4x4's with tent/swag set ups during the dry seasons. No trailers or vans are permitted on the sand due to bogging. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of a campfire and visual displays of local wildlife, try your hand at fishing in the river or just enjoy a cool swim just a few meters from our grassy sites. Guests are required to be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Only a short distance from Airlie Beach and the islands for those interested in the local tourist attractions. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after.

Excellent stay in peace and quiet
We loved this campsite. It was quite, grassy and the river was good for swimming. We stayed here while we went on a Whitsundays tour. We felt very safe leaving our van there for the day. The caretakers even moved our solar panels to face the sun during the day. The sunsets and sunrises are incredible.

We had a great time at Blackiron:)! The campsite is very spacious and the grass is well maintained. We spent most of our day at the fishing spot over the road from the campsite, which is only a short walking distance. There are a lot of shady areas and a sand bar, perfect for fun and relaxing.

Creekside Camping
Welcoming friendly hosts on arrival. Heaps of camping spot options. Loved being able to camp alongside the creek (4x4 required). Had the whole place to ourselves which gave us extra serenity. The sound of running water and all the wildlife was lovely. Stoked that we could make a fire and bring our fur baby. Beautiful sunset/sunrise views, was in my element. Will be back!

Amazing place to CAMP!! Massive area to set up, either on the grass patch, down on the hillside or right near the creek. Lots of wildlife about to see. Ben was an awesome host also, got in pretty late but was very hospitable one we arrived, highly recommend BlackIron
