Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
One tent site or a group of up to four people is available on a 60 acre property where you can hike through the bush along the beautiful Otter Creek or walk/bike the Trans Canada trail beside the properly for several kilometres or paddleboard the creek when the water level is high enough. This is the perfect place to enjoy nature with plenty of Canadian wildlife. We have frequently seen deer, coyotes, woodpeckers, foxes, and turkeys on our property and are always happy to hear a variety of birds in the morning and frogs at night. If you are especially fortunate, you might catch sight of Screech, the Red Tailed Hawk that lives on our property, or even Edgar, the local Bald Eagle who lives in town. Pets are welcome and campfires are permitted. Approximately 6 acres are available for guests to explore on the property in addition to the public walking trail. The site is accessible via a quad trail on a somewhat steep decline toward the creek that connects all the way to Lake Erie! There is currently beautiful, golden wheat growing in the field beside the trail that leads to the site. Please reach out with any questions. Site was kinda hard to find, even with the little signs on the trees. Once you find it, it's very private which is nice. Creek is nice, be sure to bring lots of bug spray. The main drawback was the dogs on property, they barked throughout the night and could be heard at site.

Amazing getaway site
Tent
Awesome spot for a remote camping experience. My brother and I hammock camped this site and you feel very disconnected from the city which is a great feeling. Absolutely beautiful property, big creek very close to the site, and just a wonderful environment to get refreshed in. Not too bad of a hike to the site, even if you had to do 2 trips. Trans Canada trail is very close so you can explore midday if looking for extra adventure. If you’re looking to disconnect from your phone, the busyness of life, and enjoy nature, this is the place 😁

Beautiful, but difficult to get to
Tent
My friend and I stayed for one night and had a great time, however not without some difficulties. We struggled to find the path that leads to the trail, and once we did, it was incredibly overgrown with bush and was very difficult to get through. We did find a nice spot to settle in, but some maintenance to the trail down the hill would have been nice. A handful of hours were wasted trying to get to the site, but overall it’s a beautiful area and the owners were helpful and apologetic.

Had a great time at Nathans land, beware of the large hill to get down to site - so pack light! It was great being on the river and have the dog go for swims to cool off. Nathan provided clear instructions how to go to the site and was very helpful and quick to reply. Thank you!
