Welcome to our newly revitalized RV park, nestled along the iconic Route 66, just off I-40 in the heart of western Oklahoma. Originally established years ago, this park had great bones, and in the spring of 2024, we took on the challenge of bringing it back to life. Conveniently located between Oklahoma City, OK, and Amarillo, TX, and just a short drive from Elk City, our park offers a perfect retreat for travelers exploring the historic Mother Road. We've worked hard to preserve the park's vintage charm while adding modern amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Our recent upgrades include a fenced-in dog park where your furry friends can roam freely, a cozy sunken fire pit for evening gatherings, and a game area featuring horseshoe, corn hole, and tetherball for family fun. The old office has been completely remodeled, now housing air-conditioned private bathroom and shower for your convenience. We’ve also added an air-conditioned coin laundry room to make your stay even more comfortable. For those looking to explore the outdoors, we offer horseback riding and hunting opportunities on the adjacent ranch property we acquired. As we continue to grow, we’re committed to adding even more features and amenities to enhance your experience. Whether you’re a history buff, an outdoor enthusiast, or just passing through, our park is the perfect stop on your Route 66 adventure. We look forward to welcoming you!

We loved our one night stay at Burl's ranch. It had everything we needed, a spacious plot, a dog park, clean and modern showers and beautiful scenery. Thanks 👍🏻

Flying W Guest Ranch
Our cabin was absolutely amazing. We brought our two dogs along on our Route 66 road trip and they both loved being ranch dogs for a couple of days. It was wonderful being away from the hustle and bustle of the city and waking up to horses lazily munching just beyond the fence behind our little homestead. Come here if you’re craving big sky and wide-open spaces.

Flying W Guest Ranch
The Flying W Guest Ranch is just a short drive off of route 40. It’s a great spot for those who are local to Oklahoma and are looking for some adventure as well as those who are on a cross country road trip, traveling on the southern route and in need of a great place to stay. We’d been communicating with the host, Burl, leading up to the trip and when we arrived he greeted us outside and showed us to our cabin. We were able to park right next to it which made for easy unloading and were delighted that he had the little electric stove already working to warm the space. (There was also a mini split above the bed for additional heat). The bed was super comfortable, the sheets soft and there was even a futon in there. Plenty of space in one cabin for two people and possibly even up to four. I was dying for a shower by the time we arrived having been on the road for several days and almost shrieked when I saw the cabin had running water and that it was HOT. It’s the little things, ya know? We slept soundly and then in the morning, I went for a run. I ran up near the little town that used to be part of a reality tv show on CMT about a decade ago and then got the rest of my miles in on the country road that leads out to the highway. For most of the run I had the company of Burl’s pup, Moose. It was hillier than a I realized and felt worked and ready for coffee by the time we got back. Burl not only made us a cup of coffee in the restaurant on the property but also gave us a tour of the land. We jumped up in his big truck and he then took us down to the largest bison kill site in the southern plains. Known as the Certain Site by archaeologists, there are an estimated 800 bison remains and bones on the property. We’d never seen anything like it and were fascinated by Burl’s story. The place felt spiritual and we were thankful that Burl wanted to share it with us. We highly recommend the Flying W Guest Ranch as a place to stay whether you’re local to the Elk City area or just passing through.
