The property is amazing and Marlene is a wonderful host. The animals were so adorable and extremely friendly. This “shack” was very well kept and so so cozy. This was my second time staying there and I can’t wait to go back again. I love this place and the mountain views are fantastic. It is a must stay and see!!! You won’t regret it.

Amazing and Cozy place
We had an amazing time at Marlene’s site. Lounging in the hammocks up on the second level looking out over the foggy elevation is something I hope to come back and do again. We booked in that area too hike around the Roan Balds, but the little shack and hilly farm was a destination in itself. Love from Phoebe & Hannah, and hope to come visit again. 🐐🐈‍⬛🐕🫏🐖🐥

Perfect camping spot
My siblings and I absolutely loved staying here. The location is beautiful, the animals were great (we got to hang out with goats on the roof), and the little cabin has so many little touches that make it a cozy & relaxing place to stay. This place has everything you could possibly need for a camping stay: extra blankets, cooking equipment, oils and spices, fans, flashlights, etc. The cabin is quite small so ideally only two people would stay, but Marlene worked with me to allow three of us to stay.

Tiny shack on a friendly farm
This hand-crafted wood shack complete with kitchen area, canopy bed, and even deck provided a wonderfully dry stay on a rainy December night. Wanna know the best part besides your host Marlene, the animals, and general good vibes? The covered fire pit that allowed us to have a nice fire and watch the rain fall until getting too sleepy. Have I mentioned the animals? They were some of the friendliest dogs, goats, deer, pigs, and more, all living so peacefully together! 10/10
