The property was historically used for milk cows grazing and the farmer would put the milk jugs in the main emergent spring to keep cold. Federal wetlands in the back are protected from adding to or changing, but can be explored in your wellies! There was nothing on the land when purchased in 2018. We wanted to create our own lake front property for our retirement. The man made pond is blue clay, spring fed and holds water year round. Is was stocked with large mouth bass and channel catfish in 2020. Please, only keep fish over 12 inches. Learn more about this land: Camp in the meadows or down by the pond. Also a small stream and wetlands to explore. All campers can pick where they want to set up camp.Camp in the meadows or down by the pond. All campers can pick where they want to set camp. Small RVs only in the meadows. Respect and explore the wetlands , swim and fish in the pond. Solar lights are in the meadow. Corn hole and other games available. Campers need to check in at the house before accessing meadows. Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame is 20 minutes away, as is Oneonta, Gilbert Lake, and Edmeston.

Great spot near Cooperstown
3 m campervan
The pond was great for cooling off and looked to be well stocked with fish. Communication was great, especially the restaurant and ice cream recommendations. Site is nice and grassy and level and the composting toilet was clean. The hosts' house is visible from the site, which didn't bother us at all but I know some people are weird about that. Perfect location for exploring the area, quick ride over to Cooperstown for the Hall of Fame. Overall we had a really nice stay! Oh yeah, one more thing, the fireflies at night were amazing!

Olin Springs was a great stay! The field was nice and flat for tents, and the outhouse was modern and clean! The pond water was very refreshing!

Tent camping on Gerry's land in the summer was fun! They had a nice pond we could float in & we caught a huge catfish to grill. Gerry and Laura were very helpful.
