oasis in the woods
A great location to spend a couple days in New York! There are multiple spaces where you can set up a tent. I chose a location down past the yurt in the forest. There is a bathroom with a shower and and kitchen that you can prepare all your meals. Most campsites are down the hill from the parking area so pack lightly! The host was super friendly and welcoming.

Indeed a Sanctuary
I loved camping on Angell's Sanctuary land. My site was between two creeks, under pine trees, and nearby a large patch of ferns. It was dark and quiet thru the night, with the sound of water trickling down the hillside, lulling me to sleep. And such a night of rest I haven't had in a long time. The site was down a slightly steep hill, which might make it difficult to access for some. But I Ioved the steep contour and vibrant energy of the land, as well as the Beings dwelling there. A small shared kitchen and bathroom were nearby to the site. I also enjoyed a wonderful drum-making ceremony that Angell co-ordinated that weekend with Mia Luz.

Peaceful camping at the Sanctuary
Camping at the Sanctuary was a wonderful peaceful experience. The land has been beautifully cared for and felt inviting from the moment I arrived. I enjoyed many deer and bird encounters and woke to the sounds of the barred owls in the night. There is a fully equipped heated kitchen and clean bathroom with a shower which brought ease to the camping experience. Angell was a kind host and got back to me right away to answer questions. I highly recommend!

Angell is a kind and generous host. His passion can be felt in the land in The Sanctuary and I left feeling rejuvinated and refreshed. He recommended nearby views and hiking trails that were a treat to explore. The Sanctuary also offers a community kitchen / bathroom for campers that is fully stocked with all the necessary cookware and more. The land also has a beautiful temple for prayer that I recommend you spend time in to reflect and honor the ancestors of the land. Highly recommend!!
