Welcome to Malouf's Mountain Sunset Campground, a hike in- hike out fully catered camping resort. We supply almost everything you needed to have a relaxing stay in the woods.
Established in 2006, our campground is nestled in the foot hills of the Fishkill Ridge.
Camping without a car? No camping gear? No Problem!
Wait until you see the bathhouse - hot showers on one side, flush toilets on the other, and in the middle, sinks for cleaning up and sinks for dishes. There are also two dryers in case your gear gets wet.
We created Primitive sites for the novice camper as well as Platform Tent Camping for the less experienced.
The owner, Dick Malouf, wanted to create a location where everyone could enjoy a hike and a place to stay under the stars.
Second time at Malouf's campground. It is the best of both worlds with camping in a natural setting while enjoying the luxury of a car-free hiking vacation, flush toilets and showers, and a propane burner or a wood fire for cooking, plus having groceries delivered to the campsite! Very well organized and everyone is friendly and helpful. The sites are well spaced apart and maintained in great shape. Highly recommended!
If you’re looking for a great place to camp, look no further. We went to Maloufs for a second time because of the convenience from the city and their overall dedication to making sure you have a great stay. We got to the train station past their shuttle hours but Dick helped us make sure we got to the campsite safely and without issue. The bathrooms are clean, the trails are great, and everyone is friendly. Looking forward to our next stay.
