Our cabin is an original Adirondack hunters camp nestled on the toe of Pelkey Mt. Vintage twin beds and built-in bunks sleep up to 4 people comfortably with a wood stove, propane lighting and a dry sink to load with ice and goodies. This off-the-grid, rustic cabin is the ONLY camp on over 600 acres of land, of which Pelkey Mt is the dominate feature. World class hiking, boating, swimming, biking, and fishing all within minutes of Camp Moonset and set in one of the most beloved areas by ADK locals. Enjoy the Adirondacks' High Peaks region without the crowds. **New pictures added from the April 2024 eclipse, top of Pelkey Mt looking south east towards Catamount Mt. **New pictures will be posted soon with recent cabin interior up grades. **2 night minimum required during the summer season.Camp Moonset is an original ADK Hunters Camp on 600 acres of timber land with no neighbors in sight! This rustic Camp is off the grid - so pack in/pack out your own drinking water and food. The cabin is one open space with built in bunks for 5 (one full sized bunk and three singles), a wood stove for cozy heating, and propane lighting. There's also a dry sink that great for loading up with ice, drinks, and goodies. Pelky Mountain sets the stage for what this land is - 600 acres of diverse woodland - a bushwhack to the top of Mt. Pelky, many established deer trails connect the main and false peaks. We'll leave a map in the cabin and flagging on some trees to find the best access points to the peak. Minutes from Taylor Pond (great for fishing, swimming, and paddling), Silver Lake Mountain Trail, Catamount Mountain Trail, Silver Lake Bog Trail, the AuSable River, and the town of Wilmington, the lands north of Whiteface Mountain are worth seeing and Camp Moonset is your spot to make that happen.

What a beautiful property! I had a great stay, Bill was super responsive and I had everything I needed in the cabin. It was a fun hike up to Mt Pelkey. The snow made it a true winter wonderland ❄️ The cabin was very private but close enough to the road that it wasn’t a hassle to get in and out. Great host, great property, highly recommend!

We truly loved our stay at Bill and Jodi's camp. I'm reluctant to say too much here because I almost want to keep it a secret. A simple cabin with a warm wood stove. There was a great cinder block/ brick/ stone lots of nice cast iron pans and things to cook fire pit outside with a heavy grate to put on top of it for cooking on the fire, and lots of nice cast irons around. There are two small mountains on the property, and we hiked up one of them in the snow thanks to Bill's suggestions. This place is an awesome, private getaway and our crew was grateful to get to hang out there for a couple days

Camp moonset is a very cool site. It never stop raining during our week-end out there, but the cabin was very confortable and we had great sleep. I would come back.

The site was incredible. We did not enough time to explore all the trails, but enough to really enjoy the land and the views. Very well equipped cabin and large enough for a group of 5 or even more. Very well located with hiking, swimming options near. Bill & Jody were quick to respond and very welcoming.
