Yarralen is a beautiful 40 acre property on the mid-north coast of NSW. Situated under Mt Yarrahapinni on the Eastern side of the Pacific Hwy. Halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour. We are surrounded by National Parks and close to pristine beaches , grassy heads , scotts head and the Macleay River. Please note there is a $10 pet fee for the campsites, and $15 pet fee for lodgings (the two Vans and Units). We offer a magical bush retreat with all the modern felicities with a range of camping and accommodation options: -The Eclectic Bush Haven is a family-friendly camping area where kids under 12 yrs camp for free, campers booking this option have access to camp kitchen, toilets and electricity. -The Yarralen Retreat Camp Ground 2 is a more secluded camping area for off-road campers that are completely self-contained with their own toilet, kitchen facilities and power. -The Butterfly Caravan and Retro Glam Vans are renovated caravans nestled in the rainforest. -Yarralen Retreat Glamping are glamping tents offering the perfect romantic escape, or if you just like camping but don't want to set up a tent, this is the perfect choice. - Our Entire Property Exclusive option means you can book out the whole place for your group to enjoy privately. Please thoroughly read the site description which explains exactly what this option does and does not include. Our 40-acre property features eclectic, arty, and striking sculptures and artworks. Stroll through the beautiful bush surroundings, visit the water lilies, and say hello to the roaming peacocks. The campsites are located on a grassed area surrounded by a corridor of tall trees for your shade and comfort. We're not far from the beach, with Grassy Heads being the closest beach. While you're exploring why not check out Scott’s Head and South West Rocks for the amazing vistas. Refresh and recharge in the Magnesium pool and detox in our sauna (please book access under our Extras). Warm your soul around the campfire in the evening. Firewood is available (please see our Extras). Campers at the Eclectic Bush Haven will enjoy our fantastic camp kitchen, along with amenities including hot showers and flushing toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped with a Webber BBQ, gas cooktop, large fridge, lighting and power. (IMPORTANT: Campers who book the Yarralen Retreat Camp Ground 2 area DO NOT have access to these facilities, we expect campers in this area to be fully self-contained) For your convenience entry to the property and main camping area is via our asphalt driveway, which suits all vehicles. (IMPORTANT: Campers who book the Yarralen Retreat Camp Ground 2 will need a 4WD to access this secluded part of the property). Overnight or longer stays are also available for private parties, weddings, retreats, team building - anything possible. Please message us to have a chat. Peaceful tall timbered bushland with abundant wildlife throughout the property. It's a great experience for kids, feeds the chooks, free-ranging peafowl, rainforest and billabong walks, and amazing gardens. Campfires are permitted in the communal fire pit area or individual firepits are available to enjoy at your site. Please use tank water sparingly (for cooking, cuppas) and BYO drinking water. Entire Property Hire - Exclusive

Wonderful stay

We booked the entire property at Yarralen Retreat for a family get-together to celebrate my Dad’s 70th. The property was tranquil and relaxing with beautiful bush walks and yoga deck. The amenities and camp kitchen were great and had everything we needed for big family cook ups. They were also artistic and lots to look at. The kids loved the big nest swing where they spent most of their time and the hammocks on the yoga deck. All of the accommodation was lovely and very comfortable. The kids also loved the peacocks, chickens and fish. Julie and Cliff were kind and generous hosts who we enjoyed spending time with and learning about their beautiful property. They went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and were very accommodating to make sure everyone was comfortable. We had such a wonderful weekend and 100% recommend for large groups and family get-togethers! We are considering making it an annual family holiday! Thank you Julie and Cliff!

Julie was an absolutly lovely host! The property is absolutly stunning. Camping with kids it was absolutly perfect, a bush retreat camp with all the comforts to make it easy!!! We will be going back again for sure!!!!

Eclectic Bush Haven Camp Ground 1

This place was an absolute treat! Julie and Cliff were very welcoming and helped me get my campfire going, ran a yoga/meditation session, and overall made the experience super nice. They have a beautiful property and the bathrooms and camp kitchen were in good condition and kept nice and tidy!

Soul food stay

I arrived mid afternoon. Julie and her husband were warm, welcoming and gave me a tour of all accomodation they provided on arrival. I was given some fresh eggs and milk and given time to settle in after a long drive. The grounds are beautifully maintained with love and consistency. Wildlife agree as it’s quite the haven for birdlife. The modern facilities ie: Sauna Yoga deck Bathroom incl toilet are well maintained Julie had no problem setting up the sauna for me to use and it did wonders for my tension. Evident was how the property caters for all types of stayers in: Van, swag or in a studio (with mod cons) How transparent and environmentally conscious they live and practise that in their accomodation Camp one are has everything you need kitchen wise - all you need to do is bring food. All the little things you forget you need camping are there in drawers and cupboards. A large communal fire pit is a great size and ample space for many people while still feeling intimate. I stayed in a studio -on a very fresh cool night the heater was lovely- shower ran well hot and the bed was very comfortable by any standard let alone accomodation standard. The large studio deck makes sitting on a lounge relaxing- while the family peacocks keep you company and occasionally put on a feather show. Artwork created locally and by Julie spread throughout the property, it has a magic that allows you to leave every worry at the gate when entering. I will return again !

Eclectic Bush Haven Camp Ground 1

This wonderful peace of paradise exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I entered through the front gates I was entranced. The accommodation was more than value for money. The camping area with flushing toilets and hot showers and the fully equipped camp kitchen was the most comfortable camp ground I have ever experienced and so affordable. The apartment was adorable and also fully equipped. Furnished in Julie's eclectic style it was warm and welcoming. The hosts were accommodating, interesting and a pleasure to spend time with. I was invited to participate in an early morning yoga class with Julie and also an enlightening and cathartic meditation session. The fact that dogs are welcome was the icing on the cake. My fur baby Kira enjoyed her time there almost as much as I did, with beautiful walks and wonderous scents. We will definitely be returning to Julie's on our way back home.

Such a great place. Excellent hosts.. Cliff and Julie are so passionate and artistic. I could not find one issue from booking to check out. We had everything we needed and more.
