Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
This property offers self-sufficient camping spots on a 245-acre picturesque cattle and sheep farm, with rolling green hills, mountain views and access to the beautiful Goulburn River. Most of the property is 4WD accessible only, so we do recommend 4WD to get the best choice of camping spots. A lot of the land is undulating, and while there are a few flat spots for caravans, some camping areas will require chocks - but it is up to you where you wish to camp within the designated area. This property has its own access to the Goulburn River for swimming or throwing in a line. Just 8kms to the charming township of Denman where you can access pubs, RSL, IGA and gift shops. Also just 27km from Muswellbrook. Dogs are welcome but be kept under control at all times to ensure our cattle's safety. You are welcome to have a campfire but only if you bring your own portable fire pit that is elevated off the ground. Firewood can be purchased as an Extra at time of booking. We had a lovely peaceful long weekend at Riverview with our dog. The hosts were very friendly. Short drive in to Denman for any supplies or a good pub lunch.

Denman area is very beautiful. Beautiful views. I enjoyed the quiet and a quick dip in the river. Host was a man who loves the land and shares that love with his visitors. I really enjoyed my stay.

Sadly not a great experience
12 ft travel trailer · With kids
We’re a family of 4 with 2 dogs and quite used to off grid camping with no amenities. Leeanne and David were very helpful leading up to our stay and the photos of the riverside site looked great, however when we arrived the area had quite long grass, and the entire site was infested with ants and locusts/grasshoppers. The access to the river was covered in lantana and we weren’t super keen on staying in case one of the dogs got into trouble trying to get to the river and we’d have to brave the wilds to try and get to them. We also weren’t thrilled that our tent would fill with insects as soon as the fly opened and there was nowhere safe to put food. We ended up leaving and heading elsewhere. There were other sites away from the river that may have been nice, however the grass seemed like it hadn’t been slashed there either. Unrelated to these negatives, when we arrived we were advised the site is reverse in only. This wasn’t an issue for us, but given the length of the reverse and the type of terrain, it might be an idea to indicate this on the ad. I don’t like to write a place off based on one experience because sometimes you can just be there at the wrong time, but it wasn’t right for us.

Hidden gem!

The most accommodating and friendly hosts! Beautiful property! Great central spot in the area… meant we could visit Glenbawn lake and return to our secluded riverside side campsite. Highly recommend :)

Great location near Wineries and Denman. Check-in was easy and the 4 sites were well spaced out. 3 of the sites are in a paddock above the river and one is by the river. If staying in a paddock site, it is a short walk to the end of the paddock to get access down to the river.
