Russell Falls Cottages at the entrance to Mt Field National Park offer self-contained, self-catering accommodation suitable for couples and families. Four spacious cottages – each set a comfortable distance apart on a beautiful piece of paradise . Also offering six Riverside fully insulated warm Camping Pods with comfortably made beds with electric blankets. Camping sites also available. The property is surrounded by the Tyenna River and has an abundant of wildlife such as padymelons, possums, platypus and other wildlife are frequently seen especially our resident echidna who wonders happily around the property. A footbridge across the river leads directly to Mount Field National Park, with the National Park Visitor’s Centre and Cafe, the Charles Marriott Shelter (BBQ facilities and children’s playground), and Russell Falls minutes walk away. The path passes through temperate tree fern rainforest, populated by glow worms. A minimum three nights stay is recommended as this area has so much to offer- Mt Fields walks and water falls- Junee caves- styx valley and land of the Giants- Strathgordon dam-creepy crawly walk-Lake Dobson- Rail track ride- Maydena adventure hub- Tassie bound adventures and you will need time to relax and enjoy Russell Falls cottages and the peaceful river, rain forest and birdlife.

Onsite we have kayaks and bikes for campers to use(deposit required). Located in Ranelagh, 2 mins from Huonville, 45 mins from Hobart, 20 mins from Cygnet, 10 mins from Franklin. Your hosts offer a beautiful paddock and yard in the amazing Huon Valley. We are a small farm with animals and gardens on the edge of residential convenience. Pets are welcome as are campfires in the designated fire pit.

**Please note that it's $20 per person per night. Small farm and vineyard at Macquarie Plains in the Upper Derwent Valley, southern Tasmania. The property is 380m from the junction of the Lyell Highway and the Gordon River Road. It has 450m absolute river frontage on the River Derwent (no riparian reserve). The river here is freshwater, potable and a renowned trout water, (licence required). Three kilometres from the village of Gretna. 4WD Preferred. 2WD need to assess river access. Campers need all own amenities and leave no trace. Dog friendly but please see rules, we have livestock and so dogs need to be well controlled at all times. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place (see rules around campfires). Due to hydro generation activity, the river may slowly rise or fall up to 1m (often without rain) so please be careful around the water.

Switch off with no phone or wifi signal so you can completely immerse yourself in nature. 5 minute drive to many gorgeous beaches you can enjoy the bext of both worlds with beach and bushland. Hire some kayaks and ride out for a paddles on the bay discovering the kelp forests, rock pools and more. Have campfire with plenty of fallen wood available to collect and help us keep our bushfire risk down! Take a guided walk with Brad who is full of amazing plant and animal and bush tucker knowledge and he loves a good yarn! Or just wander at your own pace soaking up the beauty and tranquility. Finding us couldn't be easier , just turn right at the welcome to Franklin sign when driving from Huonville. Our gate has two big gum stumps as posts. With big views up the Huon Valley and over the river, this campsite will be sure to provide a great stay. The property is a 5 minute walk into the Historic town of Franklin, where there are are pubs and restaurants. We have 2 flat sites and 3 slight gradient sites, all are far apart. All sites accessible by 2wd depending on weather. There are no facilities, so the site is suitable for self contained campers only, There is dump for toilet water. The site also has drinking water water available free. Due to our children and our Alpaca on site pets must be kept on a leash. Visiting children are welcome to help our kids feed Alpaca, just ask. The property has an orchard of cherry plums, apples, pears, lemons and apricots. There are great walks and sites to see in the local area. It's possible to see Aurora from your campsite, but not guaranteed.

Located in Southport, 15 minutes south of Dover, this is a great place to base yourself and explore the local region and all it has to offer. We are located within walking distance to the beach (250m), and the wharf (500m, and a great spot for fishing), and a short drive to Southport Tavern with take away shop 1.3kms (great meals). There are also plenty of good bush walks in the area - Adamsons Falls, South Cape Track, Duckhole Lake and Hastings Caves. The thermal pools are also close by! Camping here is for self-contained campers only, for those that have their own toilet. All waste is to be taken when you leave. We offer five-level grass sites with easy access. Four have power and water hook-ups and one site with it close by. There is an enclosed campers kitchen, with hot water, gas BBQ, and a wood heater. Contact the Host should you require further details.

Our property contains two camping grounds next to a healthy creek, all with plenty of space and privacy, and an orchard where seasonal fruits (Late Summer/Autumn only) can be handpicked. We are listing our property as 4WD only if you wish to take your vehicle directly into the camping areas. 2WD vehicles can be parked in a safe area just after the entrance to make your way on foot to camping spots. The town has a children's park which contains play equipment, exercise equipment and a BBQ facility and public toilets. The shops provide basic essentials and a post office. A supermarket is situated in the nearby town of Ouse approximately 20 minutes drive from our property. Nothing is provided, so please be self-sufficient before arriving and leave no trace. Campfires in designated areas only (not during fire ban periods). PETS NOT PERMITTED, SORRY.
