100-Acre Woods

20 sites · RVs, Tents100 acres · Mandurah, WA
We are a hobby farm set on 100-acres on the North Dandalup scarp, with a few sheep. You will find kangaroos, echidnas, sometimes emus visiting our property. You can enjoy the great views into the horizon towards the Indian Ocean amidst the tall jarrah and gum trees. Campsites are set in the woodlands, some with views. It’s perfect for people seeking 'quiet' time away, but still near to amenities in the towns around here. You can take walks to experience forest therapy, have a campfire or canoe in the dams during wintertime. There is no power, water or toilet facilities so campers must be completely self-contained. You are expected to clear up and take all rubbish with you. Leave no trace. The terrain is rather hilly, hence a few sites are accessible only by 4WD (Sembawang and Changi). There are some sites that are still accessible with regular cars (Opera 1, 2 or 3; Tampines, Bedok). RVs and small caravans are welcomed. All vehicles have to stay on the paths, and not to make any tracks. The gravel road leading to our property is shared with neighbours who run horses. As such, please drive really slowly here so as not to cause the horses to bolt. During the summer fire season, fires are strictly prohibited! Dogs welcome (on leash).

Jacaranda Hill Farm

16 sites · RVs, Tents108 acres · WA
We are closed from 1 Dec through to 31 March due to High Fire Risk. Our 43-hectare property is on the edge of the Darling Scarp behind the historical Fairbridge Village. Only 1 hour south of Perth, so it is close enough for a quick weekend getaway but far enough to enjoy the silence of the bush. There are elevated campsites with views west towards Mandurah and the Peel Estuary, northwest views toward Perth City, and three dams on the property. Guests must be fully self-contained, as no toilets or showers are available. Just amazing views :) Some locations are suitable for tents only, and some for caravans only. 4WD/AWDs are recommended as most sites are not easily accessible with a 2WD vehicle, especially during winter. Dog friendly. Campfires are permitted in designated areas with the host's approval (depending on fire restrictions). We are closed over the summer period due to increased fire risk.

Herron Point Farm Stay

11 sites · RVs, Tents54 acres · West Coolup, WA
Located 5 minutes from the Forrest Highway and less than 10 minutes' drive to the beautiful and popular Herron Point. The farm offers the country lifestyle without travelling for hours. The campsites are private with a fire pit provided and you are welcome to collect wood from around the property. Fires are prohibited between 1st Dec and 31st March inclusive. While the main entrance is on Old Bunbury Road, most campsites are accessed from Dutchman Road. We have invested monies earnt back into the sites by way of limestone all weather tracks, fire pits and irrigation for the warmer months which also helps to mitigate the risk and impact of bushfires. The Northern half of the property is a combination of pasture and native trees, while the Southern half is native bush. Guests are welcome to roam the entire property with the exception of the owner's residence and sheds.

Harmony Retreat

7 sites · RVs, Tents25 acres · Meelon, WA
Just 1 hour from Perth, Harmony Retreat is situated on 25 acres at the foothills of the Darling Range Escarpment just 10-15 minutes from Pinjarra and Dwellingup, 7 minutes from the southwest highway, and 3 minutes from Pinjarra-Williams Road. It's an easily accessible and picturesque private property with approximately 7 acres of forest, flushing toilet, hot outdoor shower, a winter creek, a swimmable spring-fed dam, and an abundance of bird and wildlife, nestled between cattle farms in the heart of the Peel region. There are friendly free-ranging chickens, a mischievous mini pig named Peppa (who loves pats), sheep, and family dogs on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite (this is a working farm). THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY. The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site. The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. Older children will need to be supervised. Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times. There are no cooking facilities available for guests at present (this could change in the next couple of months as Troy is notorious for making stuff happen lol... so when it does we'll update the information). Therefore you will need to be completely self-sufficient including washing up bucket, cooker, kettle, esky, etc, and also bringing your own drinking water as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam. We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open flames during fire bans. All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa the Pig will always appreciate your veggie scraps. Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Wood is available for purchase on-site from April/May to October/November. Collecting firewood from the property or forest is not permitted. Firewood Kit's can be purchased for $25 cash upon arrival. This includes firelighters, kindling and 20kg firewood at your site upon arrival ($30 if using EFTPOS to include various fees). We also host various events such as drumming circles, meditation sound journeys, retreats, and festivals throughout the year, as well as offering holistic healing sessions, private sound journey sessions and have a little shop selling journals, oracle cards, giftware, diaries, cacao, and handmade items which can be opened upon request. You can find details and learn a little more about what we do at hwcommunity.org

Pinegrove Camping

9 sites · RVs, Tents107 acres · Jelcobine, WA
THE DEPT - DPIRD - Agriculture - has advised us to stop campers bringing wood onto our property due to the outbreak of the SHOT HOLE BORER. It would be devastating if this dreadful bug should come this far. We appreciate your co-operation. Pinegrove is a small property of 107 acres nestled in the forest away from traffic and suburbia, 14 kilometers off the Brookton Highway. We run Merino sheep and have pure bred Border Collies for sheep work and dog trialing, which is Ivan's sport . It's a natural bush block with cleared areas. We welcome campers and people wanting to park their caravan or RV. Campfires are permitted (except when fire bans are on). Free firewood to collect. We ask that campers do not use the bush as a toilet please, this is not acceptable and please do not empty caravan toilets on any part of our property please. There is a toilet in the shed at the Homestead or please bring a portable toilet, We do have to limit the use of the toilet if our water supply runs low as we depend on rainwater for all our needs. We appreciate campers to be self contained if possible. Well behaved dogs are welcome, they should be on a lead if coming anywhere near the sheep or Homestead please. There are no swimming spots at our place, there is a pool in town which is 30 minutes away. There is plenty to see and do in the area such as Boyagin Rock you can climb, we are only 30 minutes from Brookton, 40 minutes from Beverley and about 45 minutes from York. You are also welcome to watch host Ivan training the sheepdogs!

Alchemia Farm

2 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · Dwellingup, WA
Dwellingup is a quaint little town 1.5 hours or less from Perth. Our farm is very quiet, a truly tranquil spot in the middle of the forest. We have a large damn that flows with a small waterfall in winter. It’s very peaceful to hear all the birds and animal life at the river's edge, along with the sounds of trickling water in winter. We also have a small lavender farm which is in bloom in summer and smells lovely, particularly in the cool mornings. Because of our altitude, the weather is often a few degrees cooler all year round. Many animals frequent our property. You will see kangaroos, fluffy white-tailed bunnies, black and red cockatoos, and even the odd emu not to mention the countless other species of birds. Our property has dense native forest on two sides with hiking trails running just behind our block. In town, there is a new pump track for kids to ride their bikes and scooters around, which is a lot of fun for them. There are also new public amenities in town about a three-minute drive away, which include public toilets and showers. Unfortunately, we do not offer showers or toilets, so we ask that campers be completely self-sufficient, and would appreciate if campers could take away their rubbish with them and leave no trace 🙏 If you want to recharge and immerse yourself in nature, our farm is a beautiful and marvelous place to do so. See you soon.
