Abundance yurt is surrounded by trees and birds in the Perth Hills, only 30 mins from Perth CBD. The property comes with its own composting toilet and hot outdoor shower, gas cooker and pot belly stove. Suitable for singles or couples, some smaller dogs may be appropriate (please contact Liza to discuss before booking). Other things to note Moonbeams Yurt is situated at the bottom of a 1 acre property, on a large 48sqm decked area. The yurt is 20sqm in size and the composting toilet and shower are within 10 steps from the yurt entrance. The hot water shower is an outdoor shower with a privacy screen. There is NO power at all, but 1 battery powered light is available, and there is a basic gas cooker provided. There is no refrigeration. Parking is at the top of the property and guests will have to walk down a partially sealed path to arrive at the entrance to the yurt, so good mobility is needed. You will need to bring in refrigeration/Eski, lights and basic cooking camp ware. A wheelbarrow can be provided to get gear from car to yurt. A Double bed is provided. Optional extras are fresh bedding. The pot belly stove is great for the winter, and timber is provided for cold nights. We do not recommend booking during our hottest months, unless you love the heat. This property is great for backpackers or people wanting to see the sites of Perth and surrounds. The train line is close by for people who do not have a car. There are many walks and states forests in the area. We have a two night minimum stay.

One Green Sheep is a 500 acre working farm north of Bindoon, Western Australia, with beautiful breakaways and valleys, patches of natural vegetation and old stand trees in amongst pockets of cropped land. We are just over an hour from Perth at the very north end of the Darling Range with enormous starry night skies. My husband Kim and I have a strong focus on the environment and sustainability in our every day lifestyle and care for the land. Over the last 10 years or so we have planted almost 67,000 trees and shrubs successfully establishing wildlife corridors right across the property. We now also have 20 artificial nest tubes to support the Carnabys black cockatoos who return each August to breed. Our intention is to leave the land in a better state than when we first came here and we now want to share the wonderful environment with others, providing a place to get away and recharge as well as get excited about nature and all its wonders. In line with our environmental focus, we ask campers to Leave No Trace. This means you will need to have your own toilet facilities with you, you will need to take all your rubbish away with you and leave your car parked for the duration of your stay. As fallen timber is precious habit for small creatures (it’s not firewood!) you will need to purchase firewood from us for your stay. Please note that due to the Perth area now being in the Polyphagus Shothole Borer quarantine area you are no longer be able to bring firewood with you from the city. This is to safeguard our precious site and the surrounding bush. (Please get in touch with us if you aren't coming from Perth). Dogs are welcome but please keep them with you and don’t let them chase stock or wildlife. You are welcome to bring push bikes, or to explore on foot. Welcome to Raptor Retreat, on the doorstep of Whiteman Park. It’s the perfect location if you love birds, in particular Raptors. The campsite is located at the back of the 5 acres property on solid ground. The area surrounding the campsite is farm land but beyond the fence is 4000 hectares of native bushland. Plenty of areas for bushwalking or photography. The property is home to the WA Birds of Prey Rehabilitation and educational centre. The Swan Valley is only a short drive when you can experience local wines and produce. Campers must be either self sufficient with their own camping toilet and take all waste with them on departure when located at the back of the property. Alternatively, at the front of the property, toilets and bins are available. Campfires are only permitted at certain times of the year, please check with your host before lighting a fire. Derrin went out of her way to help me out this weekend! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away and not be too far from Perth. I took a 13ft hybrid to the echinda camp site and getting out was a bit tight (decent thickness short branch from a tree) and a full size van would have made it past it. However you can camp in the opening at the same site (huge open space) but just check the entry in and out before you drive in 😉

Thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night solo camp at One Green sheep, was very peaceful and relaxing. The green valley, fire pit and occasional kangaroo visit made for an ambient experience and Derrin, the host, was very accommodating. She left me to relax but I knew she was only a phone call away if I needed anything. Thank you, I will be back.

We had a fantastic stay at Citrus Park Camping. Vicky was a lovely host, great communication before the trip and special touches when we arrived. My children loved feeding the donkeys, meeting the animals, exploring the property and venturing up the big hill opposite. My dog also enjoyed the use of the agility area to run around. We hope to be back again.
