History, heritage, and beautiful beaches await caravanners in Western Australia's southernmost city.
Hemmed in by rugged headlands, white sands, and turquoise waters, the city of Albany sits pretty on the southern coast of Western Australia. A key stop for road-trippers following the popular Perth to Esperance route along the southwest coast, this former whaling station is famous for its National Anzac Centre, coastal hikes in the Torndirrup National Park, and seasonal whale-watching cruises (May to October). Check into a holiday park or caravan park near the sandy shores of Emu Point and Middleton Beach, snag a first-come, first-served beachside campsite in the neighboring towns of Denmark or King River, or escape the crowds at a tranquil Hipcamp. Most caravan campsites have a choice of unpowered or powered sites, and the larger parks often provide amenities such as a camper's kitchen, BBQ areas, and free wifi. Some even have a café, swimming pool, and playground.
