We border the Mitchell river with the farm so there are about 1 km of secluded banks to sit or swim from if you want to just stay put. For those wanting pure relaxation, meditation, and soul grounding. We can personally show you some tremendous places on the farm to go within. Pure solace is something that many take for granted. Use our pyramid to draw in Quantum/etheric energy, go to the top of our crystal hill and feel the energies. There is so much to be thankful for when you can release in these spaces. Alternatively sit amongst the cows and feel their energy surround you as their curious nature brings them in closer and closer until they relax around you. Alternatively if you want to chill with a beer on the river bank and try for some bass, or watch the eastern water dragons play in the sun and water, then that’s a great way to unwind, or soak up the sun rays as it drops below the horizon on the crystal hill or rolling flood plains. A personal favourite of a campfire and a few drinks with the stars is a great way to unwind when you have so much space and privacy. The sites are located next to our rental lodge where we sometimes do retreats, or holiday let it as well. The privacy is wonderful if that's what you are looking for. A walk each morning from one end of the farm where you will stay to the other and back is a leisurely 2kms so maybe that is your morning start, but walk the lanes and check the fences and cows while you're at it please 🙂, ticks a job for us while your relaxing. Want to learn about the history of the area? Well a session with us will teach you everything didn't know about the Dargo High Plains, the mountain cattlemen of the high country and much more. Take advantage of your time to enjoy the history of the area and the wonderful past times enjoyed. What is available off farm? Number one, the pub with great counter meals is across the river, 5kms away. Lindenow Farmers Hotel is iconic in its design and history, the reputed Lindenow Long Paddock Cafe is also a few hundred metres from the pub, and the Post Office and Store have all your essentials. Need a few more things? Bairnsdale is 24kms away from the farm and offers all you need. Lakes Entrance is about 40 mins for a day out on the beach. Paynesville around 30 mins. If you want to venture up into the mountains then why not go through Dargo just 45 mins and up onto Mt Hotham (Summer only) via the Dargo High Plains. It’s a great track and on occasions I take people up for a guided tour and secret camp spots on my yearly run up there for my own relax time. East Gippsland in general is a wonderful region to stop and relax during all seasons but especially summer with the water activities available, the camping in the high country, and the markets that abound the area. While The Love Shack is a private cabin, perfect for intimate getaways for couples we also offer larger group bookings for extended family / and or friend groups with the need for a normal bedroom/bathroom option. The camping area around the cabin is suitable for tents/vans and can easiliy accommodate larger groups. There are three under cover areas for group camping use :- an outdoor kitchen area with sink, bench space and a full size fridge/freezer, an enclosed pen with an extra BBQ, There is a large covered area with a 100" pull down projector screen (bring your own projector for movie nights and fun). A full set of lawn games is also available. The Shack is a two night minimum stay and sleeps two. Extra guests are welcome in a tents/vans outside at an extra cost per person. The Shack has one bedroom with linen available as an extra, a small open plan kitchen with fridge, kettle and mini cooker. The living room features a little combustion woodfire heater. Camping enthusiasts can enjoy a level, grassy site with spectacular views across the Tarra River to the forest, or behind you across the paddocks. We are only 3 kms away from the Tarra Bulga National Park and 10 kms from the historic town of Yarram if you need any supplies. Woodside Beach, Welshpool and Port Albert are within easy reach too.

Great venue, the host Charlotte was excellent and made us feel right at home. the sites were awesome, great views and each night ended by the log fire with a glass of wine. 10/10, in fact we are looking for excuses to go back! My 9 year old also rated it as a 10 out of 10! we will see you all again soon!

My partner and I had a wonderful time at the Love Shack, one of those places that makes you want to extend your stay and come again. The scenery was beautiful and the amenities were plenty! We camped on the grass with a tent and it rained our last night but the ground stayed solid and not muddy, helpful for when we were packing up. Will definitely return again hopefully with friends this time!

Absolutely stunning campsite, my friends and I had an incredible time exploring the surrounding creek and seeing all the abundant wildlife and nature there was to explore. The site has been maintained really well, and the level of privacy made the entire experience even more peaceful. When we were leaving the next morning, a massive tree fell down onto the road! Yet Sam and his family so kindly helped us out and a couple hours later the tree was cleared! We will definitely be coming back in the summertime. Thank you Sam!

An absolute oasis! Surrounded by the creek on all 3 sides, it was beautiful. Site was very clean and totally private. BYO firewood and lots of it. Host was very helpful, site was easy to get in and out of even in the rain and a 2WD.
