The quality of the land hasn't changed with most of the region's farmland in use, so this is a cool piece of privacy in the Macedon Ranges. Currently home to our family, the property is also visited by many native Australian birdlife species, many marsupials including kangaroos, echidna, possums and even a koala. With close proximity to coffee shops and local stores of Romsey and Lancefield Providore, you have only a few minutes to drive to stock up on local produce. Walking the trials around Hanging Rock is a 10 minute drive and Mt Macedon lookout 15min. River’s Edge Estate is like a precious gem set on the breathtaking backdrop of the Goulbourne River - part or the Murray Darling basin. There are no amenities here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace. Access 4 Wheel Drive only. There is one access to the river via the road at the front of the property. As you drive down the drive way, you will pass three dams on the left with the third dam being the largest. The north facing hill above the dams is a vineyard which has been in production in the past. Now the crows and cockatoos wait patiently every season for their annual feast of Cabernet grapes. At the river you where you camp you can enjoy walking along the river and the associated activities such as fishing swimming and enjoy the physical environment. The area is home to a family of platypuses.
