We offer Book a Paddock and The Stables as listings for those wanting to camp or have a lux experience. Some of you have asked for parties and events. At this time we don't have the infrastructure in place to get this rolling. Thank you so so much for your support, your quiet and respectful enjoyment of our property. We are humbled you chose us to spend your heartbeats with. For now, Belinda and Robert ********************************************************************************* Exclusively yours, this acreage of privacy was historically a larger soldiers settlements property comprising a dairy, piggery and wool farming. The quality of the land hasn't changed with most of the region's farmland in use, so this is a cool piece of privacy in the Macedon Ranges. Currently home to our family, the property is also visited by many native Australian birdlife species, many marsupials including kangaroos, echidna, possums and even a koala. With close proximity to coffee shops and local stores of Romsey and Lancefield Providore, you have only a few minutes to drive to stock up on local produce. Walking the trials around Hanging Rock is a 10-minute drive and Mt Macedon lookout 15min. If you've come for the peace and tranquility - check out our extras to make your stay just that bit more homey. We look forward to saying hi soon!Spring 2024......  Welcome to your private "Upper Stargazers Paddock" (as recent guests called it on their inaugural adventure) solely and exclusively!  For previous guests - this means you venture past the houses, head on through the bottom gate, down the embackment, over Dry Creek - skirt the southern boundary cypress pine tree line as you ascend through the gates into the far western paddock BEHIND the cypress pine tree line to the north.  What does that mean for you? Peace, privacy, kangaroo watching and bliss time with exclusive use for you.  We only have 1 booking at a time - and once you've booked - its yours! (And theres still full 4G and 5G coverage. ) The opportunity of a fully private camp site encapsulates - no people, no road noise and no visible buildings, houses or structures for as far as you want to look.  Partial views of the neighbors dam - depending on where you want to park yourself, are rather serene.  There is a 1/2 44 gal drum fire pit area, so bring your camp chairs & enjoy. Firewood delivered to site - see Extras when booking. There is still a lot of fallen gum, pine cones and dead fall under all the trees - so fossick around - its cheaper and good for the soul. :) Pets welcome however please refer to property rules around this.  If this is all too much and you feel like a treat - check out "The Stables On Knox" listing for a bit o lux ;)

First time camping on the paddock
Tent · With pets
First of all, thank Belinda to let us stay at her paddock. She was always responsive and helpful. Enjoying one night at there was just perfect for us especially my 5years old son who wandered freely on the paddock holding a bucket and picking up humongous fallen pine corns and branches from the ground. The paddock was privately positioned back of the property surrounded by tall pine trees. The paddock was vast, clean and safe. We could have a chance to see a wild echidna for the first time. It was behind the upside-down green steel shed near the wooden table. We didn’t bring our dogs this time but would be careful around there when the dogs are off leash. We will definitely plan to camp here again.

Peaceful Getaway
19 ft Class B
My husband and I together with our dog had a wonderful stay at Book a Paddock. We were well catered for with space, fire pit and firewood. It was a beautiful, peaceful setting. We recommend it to anyone wishing to unwind, leaving the maddening crowds behind. Belinda is a great host, prompt in communicating and respectful of our privacy. We will return.

13 ft pop-up camper
Had a relaxing night in the back paddock, completely private, we didn't see another human while we were there (just a few horses, dogs and sheep) so if privacy is your thing this is a good choice. Probably a better option for a group of a few people due to cost, but considering you get the entire place to yourself and it's close to home we'd definitely stay again regardless. Instructions to reach site easy to follow, the camping area grass is mown and relatively flat. We brought our little Jayco Finch pop up camper and had no issues reaching the site or finding a level spot. There's a fire pit there which would be good in winter
