Lovely quiet campsite right in the heart of nature! Everything you need and very clean. Hosts were lovely, and only 10 mins from cradle mountain. Even had kayaks and boats available for free.

Weekend Trip to Waratah Alpaca and Pepperberry Farm

We loved it here! The owners are soooooo nice! The kids loved feeding the animals, we were given some eggs, and the girls even got to add to the fairy garden before we left. Wish we could have stayed longer. Check out the farm shop, too..the pepper berry is delish!!!

Scott was very friendly and helping. The property is well maintained and super close to Cradle mountains. So, you are nearly on Cradle monutain. The dam on property is value add to your stay to watch and stroll along.

Scott and his wife Linda were lovely and welcoming hosts on their camping and fishing property. Despite the rain, we managed to enjoy a firepit ($25 for a wheel barrow + firelighter) and trout fishing ($65 for 24h with 1 rod and 5 trout pellets on hooks provided - catch and release only). Their pond is heavily stocked with large trout which are very fun to catch on 6LB line! There are clean portaloos and gas BBQ facilities on the property. They even provided us with a bucket of hot soapy water to clean our dishes. Areas to park RVs are on gravel. No potable water, but water can be boiled for 3 mins before drinking. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Cradle Mountain and wanting a more 'off grid' experience. Lovely hospitality 5/5.

Loved the place, the walk around the lake was beautiful in the morning and all the facilities were perfect and clean. We had a great time and is a perfect place to stay when visiting Cradle Mountain. It felt homely and the offer of free WiFi was so appreciated.

Scott was friendly, easy to communicate with and helpful. We loved the big lake and the swing chair to sit on to relax and look out for platypus’s. It was quiet and peaceful and we would have taken the boat out in the lake if the weather had of been better. The BBQs around were very handy and the portaloos were clean. Great stay, thanks for having us Scott ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

Trudi, the host is lovely. So welcoming & relaxed. She even gave us an opportunity to feed the alpacas & learn all about pepperberries which she grows and harvests there. Saw a gorgeous one day old goat And dog friendly off leash! The paddock is fenced. Great camping/farmstay

This place was awesome! Such a nice spot with great scenery and only a 15 minute drive to Cradle Mountain. The host, Scott, was genuinley accommodating and helped me put as my son wanted to fish and I don't know the first thing about that! Grateful that he took the time to take my Mr 10 for a couple of fishing lessons. Highly recommend this place 👌 ✨️

Nice quiet clean camp area, a bit on the $$ side really, for what is there, but its close to the NP ... so ... captive crowd. Super welcoming host, well laid out sites overlooking 2 small lakes - and though it's only porta-loos, they are tidy and clean, with air freshner and hand soap.

We loved camping at the farm! It wasn’t too difficult to find a level spot for our van, & it’s grassy & sunny. Did a day trip to Cradle Mountain & on our return Trudy gave us food to feed the Llamas & chickens, & a bag of pepper berries for us to take with us. A great experience!

We loved our stay at Alpaca and pepperberry farm . There is a big paddock with plenty of space to choose from . There is feeding time with the alpacas, there were 2 , 1month old babies on our visit . We were given a sample of the native pepperberries, It is lovely and quiet. Trudi is a lovely host . It is close to town for a walk to the lake with platypus .
