Redhill is a town in the Mid North adjacent to the Broughton River. A great gateway town on the Flinders Ranges and great place to get away from the hustle and bustle yet close to major highways and amenities. Off the Augusta Highway. Currently used as a farm paddock land, a great place to camp overnight with views over the area. 4WD access recommended. The town has other facilities nearby. Self sufficient site. Gateway town to much more in the Mount Remarkable region.

Eckert’s Old Place

We are a Poll Merino sheep stud and a wheat/barley cropping farm at Emu Downs in the Mid North of SA. We have resurrected this character old workers quarters which we've turned into a rustic, peaceful abode for you to enjoy. 

Sleeps four (double bed, single bed and old miners couch,). Bring your own bedding.  There is a flushing external toilet and a bush shower (ie: a shower bag, provided). 

The room with the open fire can be utilised as a kitchen/living area. We've provided crockery, cutlery, glasses, kettles and a camp oven. There is running cold rainwater into the sink. Cooking can be done on the open fire, or use the small camp gas cookers. There is also a gas BBQ with side burner in the open end room. If you are really brave, try your hand at camp oven cooking in the campfire. There is no power, only lighting provided from a small solar panel/battery.

Extra guests welcome in tents, swags or vans adjacent to the cottage. To ensure only one group of campers at a time, THE COTTAGE HAS TO BE BOOKED FIRST, then book the extra campers through the additional campsites listing.

Campfires welcome when not in fireban season.   Dogs are permitted, but please understand, we are a sheep stud and need to ensure no disturbance from dogs. Please advise if you intend to bring your dog.

Edgehill Farm Stays Riverton

Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail.

The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them.  With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy!

There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes.

Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA.  Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh.

There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock

and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet.

Great coffee, cafe, and pub meals are available in Riverton. IGA food store is open 7 days a week, and a lovely clothing Boutique, Sassy Lass, is also open most days. Tarlee Hotel has the best meals as well.

Important Information to know before booking:

All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead

Wood can be delivered to your site for a small fee, but please let us know a few days before arrival if needing, so we can process your order,  or your welcome to bring your own.  Strictly no chainsaws on our properties please.

We are fully off grid camping, so generators are allowed on the unpowered sites, please respect other campers with turning them off by 10 pm at the latest.

Pets are allowed, as long as they are on leashes at all times.

If you have day visitors joining you during your stay, please go to the extras section and add the numbers to the booking.

The Cottage at Undalya 

In a great area, with lovely views, close to wineries and local attractions. Access to the Reisling Trail, Gateway to the Clare Valley Wine Region.

Nice level sites under big gum trees. Easy access with turn around area, right off the highway. 

No access to the cottage at this stage, but free access to the decks.

Pets welcome - must be kept close by as stock may be close.

Heyson Base Camp

This property is a portion of a large working farm. We have cattle, sheep, cropping, and horses. The property is approx 12,000 acres with amazing ranges that sometimes see snow in winter.

Tent, Swag or Campervan at Heyson base camp. Enjoy the lovely Gum lined Dry Creek with blue stone ruins of times gone by.

Enjoy a short hike to the Wind Turbines and see up close how magnificent these green energy windmills work. Or enjoy a hike along the famous Heyson Trail at the top of the range. See the stars in all their glory whilst cuddling up in front of the camp fire. Wake up to grazing cattle, sheep and wildlife on a beautiful working farm.

The campsite is nestled amongst beautiful old gums and pine with sweeping views of the valley in front and a gorgeous range out the back. Plenty of Shade and places to explore.

Dogs on Lead only. Host approval required at booking.
Pit toilet available, BYO toilet paper.
Bin provided for waste. Please use this or take it home with you.

There are livestock on the property, please do not approach livestock unless Host is with you.

Just a short drive of 30 minutes to the town of Burra you can enjoy the Passport Key and see the rich heritage of the copper mining era. Jamestown is 25 minutes drive where you can explore the bundaleer forest or see the tesla battery.

Collinsfield is a small town along the Augusta Highway in South Australia. A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle yet close to major highways and amenities. Currently used as empty residential land, a great place to camp overnight with views over the area. 4WD access recommended. The town has other facilities nearby. Self sufficient site. Gateway to the Flinders ranges.
