    Welcome to Marron Bush Escape, located in Gosse, in the Western River area (western end, near Flinders Chase National Park) of beautiful Kangaroo Island! This is a beautiful, remote, rural 250 acre private property, it is home to a number of sheep, features dams that have Marron and boasts the best that nature has to offer. Rest assured, you will not see any neighbours on this property; just picturesque landscapes everywhere you look! It is approximately a 1.5 hour drive from Penneshaw, where you get off the ferry. We offer powered and unpowered camp sites, as well as a bush, cabin. Camp fires (small) are allowed when fire restrictions allow. There is a fire pit that can be used when there is no fire ban, with barbecue plate and camp ovens for old-style bush cooking or cooking up your fresh organic Kangaroo Island Marron. There is a drop toilet at the back and external lights and an external kitchen sink with hot and cold water. There is one drop dunny and limited rain water (you are welcome to bring your own drinking water if you need extra). For your convenience, there are recycling and rubbish bins at corner of Snug and Colman’s Rd for all waste disposal. On half of our property we have sheep and lambs in the paddocks. Bring your camera, and you just might be lucky enough to see little lambs playing and even being born. We may also be shearing and invite you to see how this is done. The other half of the property is untouched natural scrub with grass and trees 12 foot tall. There are koalas, eagles, kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and lots of other native animals and a creek with small waterfalls. In winter time the ground can be boggy, so a 4WD is desirable and will allow you to explore further. From the cabin, make your way down past the dams and go through the shiny gate at the bottom of the hill (please close the gate behind you). Here, you'll discover 125 acres of untouched Kangaroo Island wilderness with walking trails to explore. Keep an eye out for koalas, kangaroos, wedge-tail eagles, wallabies, large grass trees etc We also have two small lakes that you can have a picnic by or drop some Marron nets in for a fresh feed. There are weighing scales provided at the shed so you can pay for them. This is on an honesty system- so please do the right thing, as we have already been burnt from the fires. You must contact me if you wish to fish for marron prior to catching any. There are no shops or restaurants close by (stock up before arriving!) and you will need to travel down dirt roads but you will really have the opportunity to get off the grid, get back to nature and make memories in the stunning, untouched, Kangaroo Island wilderness! The 212 acreage includes a walk in only area of over 15.5 hectares of protected heritage scrub. This bell tent is situated in a woodland under an array of Gum trees. Walk in only during winter, approximately a 250 metre walk from the parking sight. There are nine Dams on the property, with guests are welcome to Kayak or fish for yabbies.     This purpose-built Greek-inspired villa with sunset views as far as Kangaroo Island provides the perfect getaway retreat. One hour south of Adelaide, en route to Kangaroo Island, and close to McLaren Vale and lots of fantastic wineries. Situated in a secluded rural setting on an 80-acre horse stud. Dee's Villa is a short 10-minute drive to Normanville or Yankalilla. We are close to Myponga Beach, Lady Bay, and Carrickalinga as well as the popular Normanville beach. Dogs and Ponies welcome. The Villa is independent of our home, and is on its own 5-acre plot, nothing in your view except the occasional horse, the paddocks, and the sea. We have resident kangaroos and the occasional echidna that visit plus lots of bird life. We have hosted weddings, many anniversaries, and lots of special occasions plus guests who live in Adelaide and appreciate being able to hop in the car, drive for an hour and find themselves in our little bit of heaven, a real rural retreat but only ten minutes to two small towns with supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and most everything else you might need. You have the entire Villa, which is very private, a verandah out front to enjoy the view out to sea and Kangaroo Island, and a fully enclosed courtyard in the rear to chill and enjoy the sunshine. The Villa is also wheelchair friendly, all entrances are wide, including French doors to the lounge and both bedrooms, a very large double shower with sliding doors, a raised toilet for people with issues, two toilets, and a separate vanity area. It is ideal for two couples as there are two bathroom areas, one with a vanity and toilet and the other with shower, vanity, and toilet. We are pet-friendly and have a lovely shady paddock for your pony and an enclosed yard for your dog. We do allow pets inside but ask that you let us know if you intend to bring your pets with you. There is a cleaning fee if there is dog hair over furniture and soft furnishings, please bring their bedding and don't let them on beds and sofas.

    Coober Pedy Views is located on the fringe of Coober Pedy and offers a unique outback camping experience for guests who are more adventurous and prefer privacy and a secure location. New Driveway is completed.... In 2019 I was sitting in my Alfresco Area feeling that the beauty offered in front of my property should be shared to people I thought might appreciate a different aspect to Coober. Since that time I have probably had 600+ guests enjoy what Coober Pedy Views has to offer. Whilst it remains a rustic type setting, with campers needing to be SELF SUFFICIENT (NO PUBLIC AMMENITIES AVAILABLE) I can offer Power (subject to availability) to 6/8 sites. Digging anywhere on the property is forbidden, there are no Opals on CPVs evident when the 3 large garages were dug. Digging softens the ground making it dangerous for avalanches on the embankments and walls especially after rain that creates washouts as you can see on the front embankments and the ugliness makes me sad to see. Our Public Noodling Area is the only place in Coober safe to dig freely. Bookings can be made via Hipcamp.com and more information via WikiCamp.com

    We live in a beautiful valley on 30 acres, that not many people know about. We're joined by 3 friendly dogs, 4 horses, 2 alpacas, 2 lovely Camels, Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway). Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times. Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We ask that all fires be contained within the fire pit provided and a portable toilet is available for your use. BUSHFIRE SEASON: Wood and open fires are not permitted in the bushfire season, therefore you will not be able to use the fire pits.

    Welcome to your dream destination!! We have two different locations available in Kangaroo Island with some options of sites in each. Below you can see details for our Farm stays or Emu Bay Hideaway camp spots. Check below to see what sites are currently open. Emu Bay Hideaway has 30 hectares of peace, mainly vegetated with Kangaroo Island Narrow-leaved Mallee (Eucalyptus cneorifolia, a nationally-protected ecological community). Kangaroos and wallabies are in abundance. It has a wonderful feeling of remoteness and seclusion yet is so close to iconic Emu Bay. Those with 4WD may choose sites overlooking Shoal Bay towards Kingscote. Alternatively, you may set up camp anywhere on the property. There is even one under-cover position with a concrete floor for those concerned about the weather. There are no amenities so guests need to be 100% self-sufficient (including BYO drinking water and toilet) and leave no trace. It is a wild block and only five minutes from the iconic Emu Bay, where the white sandy beach runs for 4kms, most of which is backed by 10 to 20-meter-high dunes. It is one of the best beaches on the island with crystal-clear water. Check with me before lighting a campfire - this depends on the season and risk. Dogs are permitted if well controlled (register visiting dogs with local council). IMPORTANT: I have very limited access to the Internet, only periodically every few days, if that, therefore, I may take some time to respond to inquiries. ASSISTED AND BABIES FACILITIES Located on the upper level these facilities cater to those who may require assisted facilities. A clean fresh baby's bathroom is located next door so all guests can be assured their needs are met and their stay is comfortable. LAUNDRY Located on the upper and lower level of the park our machines are coin-operated and washing powder is available to purchase from our office. Clotheslines are also situated at all amenities blocks. DUMP POINTS Undercover Dump points are conveniently located on the upper and lower of our caravan park.
