Camp between the beaches and vineyards of the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Less than an hour from Adelaide, the beachside suburb of Aldinga Beach has it all. Whether you want to hike along coastal cliffs and sand dunes, drive your 4WD along the sand, or go swimming and snorkeling in the St Vincent Gulf―there’s something to suit every kind of beach-goer. Scuba divers can also explore the offshore reef around Aldinga Beach, one of South Australia’s most popular dive sites with depths up to 21 metres, while inland, Aldinga Conservation Park is a great spot for bushwalking. Road trips along the Fleurieu Peninsula are also within easy reach, as are wine-tasting trips in the nearby McLaren Vale wine region. Campers have plenty of options in Aldinga Beach, as well as in neighbouring Port Willunga and Silver Sands. Check into a holiday park or caravan park with a swimming pool, rent a family cabin, or go glamping in a cosy treehouse or bell tent.
