Its fenced off from the farm and is only 2km from Godwin beach, 1k from Sandstone Lakes and just a short drives from Sandstone point hotel and Bribie island. If you like the farm life there is plenty of cattle, or chickens and horses to check out. There is plenty of activities to do such as; fishing, walking tracks, shopping centers and more.

Bindarah Downs offers easy access to our 4 acres and 3 levels of open and shaded, creek frontage. Only 15 mins from Rathdowney, close to Maroon Dam and several National Parks. Each site accommodates one set-up; e.g. one caravan, one motorhome, one camper trailer etc. Please make a separate booking if you have multiple camping set-ups. The creek offers campers cool waterholes to swim in on a hot day and picnic tables to enjoy your meals. Hang your hammock, lay back and enjoy the tranquil setting and cool breeze while the kids ride their bikes. Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Children 16 and under stay for free but please let us know they are coming. Campfires are welcome but must be kept contained, you can help yourself to any fallen timber on the ground but please do not cut any trees. Pets are welcome but must be kept restrained at night and must not disturb any of the wildlife or livestock. Set on 180acres, stunning views of Mt. Lindesay, Mt. Gillies and surrounding area. Open fire pits and pet friendly.

If you're looking for a friendly pitch for a night or two to explore what the Lockyer Valley has to offer or simply just passing through. We'd be happy to have you stay. Located 10 minutes outside Gatton, Gatton indoor arena and showgrounds, 30 minutes from Glen Rock National Park (horse riding friendly), 30 minutes from Spicers Hidden Vale Mountainbike trails, 30 minutes from Toowoomba and Ipswich our property is centrally located for any event here in the Lockyer Valley. Two sites to choose from: 1. Fruit tree patch Flat, accessible grassed area for an RV or Campers, located at the front of the property. This offers a safe space with a fire pit and access to safe outdoor dog pen to keep your dog safe during your stay. If you have children there is also an outdoor play fort, swings and slide to utilise. 2. The dam pitch A tent pitch or 2 depending on party size down passed the horses paddocks next to the seasonal dam (summer months). Located at the back of the property. The dam it accessible for swimming and a small fire pit can be made for your use. No fires permitted during a total fire ban period. Dogs are welcome however must be up-to-date with vaccinations and be safe around horses and well socialised with other dogs as we do have our own on site. Horses also welcome with prior notice and vaccinations up-to-date. An additional booking is needed. They are to be corralled in electric yards and all manure picked up after stay. (Muck heap accessible).

We loved our two night stay at Bindarah downs. The grassy sites are well set apart from other campers, ample shade and good access to the creek. We enjoyed a stroll through the farm to see the dam. We will definitely be back.

Great little get away. Love that there was water in the creek and the dogs could cool off. Ample space between campers and lots of places to walk around the property. We visited Mt. Barney which was a short drive. Highly recommend this space and Shayne is a great host and was very welcoming.

Bindarah Downs is a lovely, quiet, rural setting perfect for our family camping trip. Shayne was very helpful and accommodating- great directions, explanations of the farm animals and walks and local area. Only a 15-20 min drive to Mt Barney NP hikes (including Lower Portals swimming hole). We camped right by the creek, which was running with beautiful clear water. No mozzies. Grounds well maintained. No toilets, so you need to be fully self contained.

Shayne & Kim are incredibly welcoming hosts. The property is beautifully maintained and surrounded by a creek. Plenty of trees alongside the camping area to provide shade. Bags of firewood available are for sale to use in the many fire pits. Don’t forget to bring the carrots or Weet Bix for a treat for the horses. They love to come and say hi at the fence. We will definitely be back!

This campsite was exactly what I was hoping for. It was quiet and peaceful, with a lovely creek nearby that made it feel really relaxing. The campsites were very clean and well cared for, which made our stay even better. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and they made us feel comfortable right away. I’d definitely recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a calm, enjoyable place to stay.

We loved our time at Bindarah Downs. We were welcomed by Shayne and had a nice chat. The property was freshly mowed and well prepared for us. The surrounding creek was lovely to cool off in. We met some of the horses and they were given a Weet Bix treat and a scratch. It reached 36 degrees but sitting under the huge trees kept us comfortably cool. Fire wood for sale on site is a bonus too. Will definitely be back!

Silky oak flat is absolutely the best Hipcamp I’ve been to. It’s a large flat site with shade and right bedside the running creek where you can just sit on the rocks and let the water splash over you or swim in the deeper swimming holes the water is crystal clear and very refreshing, I loved to sit and watch the turtles swimming. Bryce is very friendly and accommodating with the firewood. Can’t wait to get back there in the near future
