By night, sit by the firepit and gaze up at the stars while listening to the sounds of nature on the fig tree swinging chair. The outdoor bathtub is available for hire for the evening with prior notice, and will come with beautiful dried flowers, natural bath salts charged at $60 per use. We recommend our guests bring swimmers for the bath. During your stay you will have access to our outdoor shower and composting toilet with a view. These facilities are shared by 1 other person or if another camper stays, and we kindly request that our guests are mindful of water consumption as we are on tank water. Connection of power and water is an option for extra. Our campsites are also dog friendly as we love having your fur babies visit! However if you are bringing your furry companions with you, please ensure they are friendly with other dogs, kept on a lead and supervised at all times, as our baby chickens and miniature pigs like to explore during the day along with my dog who will constantly want to be around. We’re just a short drive to Eumundi, Pomona or Cooroy for cute shops and markets, or venture 25 minutes to Noosa for a day at the beach and a variety of quality restaurants. I live onsite in another area of the property, but will be available for any questions or help. Our property is located on the site of the First Kilkivan Township and was home to a gold rush in 1868 where a 73 oz nugget was discovered. Guests will have access to a portable toilet and fire pit throughout their stay. Gold is still found in and around the creek with fossicking permitted at an extra daily rate of $25 per person. As this is private property we require that all the QLD Fossicking Act rules and regulations are followed this includes having your own permit which must be supplied before fossicking is permitted. These rules include no machinery or pump operated sluices such as high banking sluices. Detectors are welcome and some great finds have been found with them including gold and coins from the 1860’s. Large groups are welcome. There are many great shaded camping spots along the creek or a large open area of about 50 acres for larger groups. There is also a year round swimming hole fed by a solar bore on the property for anyone wanting to cool down. Kids under 12 are free but if fossicking must be covered by a permit. Pets are welcome. We have 4 sites with direct river frontage for self-contained caravans, campers and tents. Most of the sites have the capacity to fit numerous vans. Fire pits are provided at all sites. All weather 2wd access road. Please note we do not have amenities or drinking water and that you need to be self-sufficient and bring everything you need with you and take out ALL Waste. For the consideration of other campers and my neighbours please be mindful of noise levels. Firewood available by the bag to purchase. The Mary River water level is determined by rain fall. We are just 10 mins down the road from Booloumba Creek and Falls and the famous Kenilworth Bakery.

I think this is the perfect camping spot, either for a romantic getaway with your partner or for a solo camping trip. I can’t think of a better place to have a beautiful, romantic picnic while watching the sunset. The views are stunning, it’s an easy drive to get there, the host, Tommy, is really welcoming, and it’s nice to meet the person behind such a beautiful project. Trees, goats, cows, birds, an outdoor bath, a romantic picnic, a beautiful sunset, loo/shower with a view, stargazing. It has everything!! I had an extremely joyful and peaceful experience.

We had a truly peaceful three-day stay in the most beautiful, tranquil setting. I stayed here with my teenage kids and we all loved it, but honestly, this place would be perfect for a romantic getaway. The views are absolutely stunning…even the toilet had spectacular scenery, which says it all! The outdoor shower was a real highlight, feeling completely immersed in nature while still being very comfortable and private. The animals added so much joy to our stay. The goats were hilarious and full of personality, the chickens and guinea pigs were a delight, and of course Max the dog completely stole our hearts and kept us entertained the entire time. This is the kind of place where you instantly slow down, breathe deeper, and feel grateful to be there. We left feeling refreshed and already dreaming about coming back — next time, just the adults 💛

We loved camping on Nev’s property. Nev popped by to meet us not long after we arrived and was lovely. Nev & Leigh (daughter) were most helpful, prompt & accommodating when needing to contact them. It was great to get away from the city & enjoy time without technology (was good for the 4 primary school aged kids & for us!). Was lovely seeing the friendly cows & cute calves. Next time we visit, we will camp for longer, bring friends or family along with us (the more the merrier!) and find a more shaded area if camping in summer again.

Lovely site & space, but not much shade. I would 100% recommend bringing bug spray for mozzies & there are also lots of flies around. There's onsite firewood & somewhere to leave your cans & bottles when you leave. When we arrived other campers had taken our site, but that was quickly resolved and no harm done

Our family/fur babies really enjoyed staying here! We planned on stay one night but ended up staying two nights! The host was so very friendly and even brought the trailer down full of fire wood for us to use! I was amazed by the amount of different kinds of dragonflies and butterflies! Simply magical! Ps: It is definitely worth paying to try your luck at panning for gold! There is gold to be found if you’re willing to dig! Thanks Neville! Stunning piece of property!

We had a lovely time at campsite no 4 Enjoyed the river in the heat that’s for sure! The temperature was 38 degrees and we were very happy the river had water in it, so we spent most of the day in the water lounging around. At night it really cooled down which was a relief. It really is a lovely spot with only 4 sites and we were the only ones there on our second night. Went for walks, seeing a 2m python on the track one day. Lucky our dog didn’t see it! Beautiful and green everywhere, cows grazing in the morning We will be back, thank you!
