For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. Tandem hang gliding gift vouchers are very popular, as you get to take off from the property and flyover you’re campsite and then up to 2500ft. Then come and land right next to your friends and family at the Oz Sky Ranch. We pride ourselves on keeping the property lovely and clean. We are also opening our home and farm to you. So please respect it and enjoy it as we do. We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate. Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots. We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience. If it is bad weather, we will recommend another site or you can change dates. Campfires are allowed at designated camp spots when fire bans aren't in place. Firewood is available to purchase . We have a no dog policy. No smoking is allowed on the property, vaping is fine at your own campsite. No glass Policy, bring cans or leave your wine bottle in your caravan or tent/car. Bring plastic glasses to drink out off. We do have a lot of rule, they are in place to give you a Beautiful environment to Camp in and To look after our Animals and farm. We accept groups however we have strict rules around this, so please discuss with us first. If you are up early in the morning you may be lucky enough to see the best in QLD barefoot water skiers training on the lake and also tandem hang gliders getting towed up from the airstrip. Welcome to our lush 9 acre Hobby Farm Stay property overlooking the Brisbane River with horses, ducks, geese and chickens. Experience the joys of farm life, feeding the animals, collecting eggs and relaxing under the mango trees. You can choose a private campsite tucked away out of sight of the main house, shaded by mango and orange trees. If you choose to camp in the open away from the trees, the house will be in sight, but we live a quiet life and will respect your privacy. The site is perfect for couples and family/friend groups. We can accommodate, tents, campers trailers, caravans and RV's. Being so close to the CBD the site is a great option for 'shake down' short stays for your new caravan or camper trailer. If you're new to camping this is a great place to ease into a lifestyle that offers so many opportunities further afield. You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves. There is a large flat grassy area for kids to play and ride bikes. Please keep in mind that this is a 'Farm Stay', you will be camping on a working property which is also our big back yard. Your privacy is assured, however, if you are looking for total seclusion, this may not be the Hipcamp property for you. Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away. Campfires are permitted. Firewood is available as an 'extra' for $20, if you would like a bundle please amend your booking to include firewood. Power (10amp 0nly) and water is available close to your campsite, but you must bring your own camping toilet. Daily water usage is included in your booking fee. Long range water tank fill ups incur a one off extra fee of $10, please include this in your booking under extras. We are friendly hosts who will respect your privacy and welcome your children to participate in farmyard feeding times and egg collecting (less eggs in winter). Our geese and ducks and chickens are hand reared so they are not aggressive at all 😃 We have two Sausage dogs, Ockie and Arlo. Ockie especially likes to visit campers, Arlo is a little less social but she may visit if she musters up the courage. This is their home so if you aren't doggy people perhaps this isn't the campsite for you. Please keep your food and rubbish up high so the doggos and other critters don't help themselves. Horse riding lessons are available by prior arrangement. Please give 7 days notice prior to your stay should you wish to book a riding lesson. No dogs please, Ockie and Arlo are the masters of their domain and don't like doggy interlopers. NB: The site is not suitable for parties or large group gatherings.
