Ingenia Holidays Cairns Coconut

336 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents10 acres · Cairns, QLD
Few holiday resorts compare in popularity to our award-winning BIG4 Ingenia Holidays Cairns Coconut in Tropical North Queensland. In fact, if you looked up the definition of ‘kid’s paradise’, you’re likely to see a description of BIG4 Ingenia Holidays Cairns Coconut. Set just seven-minute drive from Cairns’ CBD, Cairns Coconut is an 11-hectare landscaped tropical oasis that holds its own against Cairns’ popular visitor attractions – the Great Barrier Reef, Wet Tropics Rainforest, and Atherton Tablelands. Accommodation comes in a few shapes and sizes – with cabins, condos, villas, caravan sites, and camping grounds available – all with the same access to the facilities that earned Ingenia Holidays Cairns Coconut its gold medal in the Queensland Tourism Awards (2019). Sure, World Heritage-listed icons might lure you out of the park’s surroundings but you can expect to walk away with holiday memories of what’s inside the park’s gates too; between the two swimming pools, slides, splash park, and pedal cars. If timing your visit for school holidays, be sure to call ahead to find out what activities are planned in-park – so parents can have some well-earned downtime and kids can burn off energy. *only sites are available for pet bookings* Please note: We are unable to accommodate boat, trailer, or van storage within the park.

Barron River Getaway at Kuranda

4 sites · RVs, Tents50 acres · Kuranda, QLD
Surrounded by 40,000 acres of world heritage rainforest, 15 minutes outside the village of Kuranda, you will camp next to the mighty Barron River. This place is totally private and you have access to a sandy beach where swimming is safe and completely secluded. It's a great place for kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. There is a 360 degree view from the property, with nothing made by man in the way. When we purchased this property 37 years ago and built our unique home, it was denuded cattle land, and now we are surrounded by the most beautiful rainforest. We planted approximately 8000 trees.! We have 4 sites available all close to the river, and can provide water as well as access to our toilet. We are agile wallaby carers, with the rescued joeys being released back into the forest from here. After a day of kayaking or hiking or exploring the area we also offer a sunset massage (as available ) by a local masseuse who lives on the property. Watch the stars in the night sky at your own campfire.
