Glamping in Gold Coast Hinterland

With its rare endemic glowworms, rich geological history, hundreds of kilometers of hiking trails, and around 500 waterfalls, the lush rainforest of the Gold Coast Hinterland is a glamping destination like no other. You can visit here year-round, but the best time to chase waterfalls is between November and March, which coincides with the time of year it offers the greatest reprieve from the heat on the coast. At elevations of up to 1,000 metres, like those found in Lamington National Park and Springbrook National Park, you'll experience cooler temperatures. If you plan on hitting the hiking trails, pack a flashlight (to spot nocturnal wildlife) and long pants (to ward off leeches). And although it's only a short drive from the coast, glamping overnight spares you the challenge of driving on winding, narrow roads at night.
