Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
Find us on a large property on the banks of the Timbarra River, located 20 km / 30 min south of Drake Village (an old mining community). We share the property with lots of wildlife, and with our resident cows. There is currently only one camping site accessible by car (the River Block), but if you're up for a trek we can point you to the back hills where you'll find a whole other world. Your hosts live further back on the property so you can find us if you need help. Please note there is no mobile reception, so it is a great way to get away from it all. There are no bins here... please remove all your rubbish on departure. Campfires are welcome (when no fire ban). You can bring your own firewood, or gather what fallen timber you can find. There is currently no toilet, shower or drinking water so please bring your supplies. Pets possible on request. We love having furry friends visiting, but we also love our local wildlife and our lawnmower cows, and we like to keep their camper experience stress-free too.The River Block is easy access from the road, and easy access to the Timbarra River. It has a gentle slope at the entry point, and some lovely flat sites for camping. A few gums give shade, and the area is fully fenced. You can explore the rocky slabs and ever-changing river to find the best dipping spots. Your hosts live on the property (around the hill; well out of sight from the river block) so are always handy if you need something. We will aim to drop in to say hello and make sure you're settled on your day of arrival, but otherwise leave you in peace. A gang of friendly, inquisitive cows also live on the property, but can be closed out of the area while you're camping. :) Please note there is no mobile reception, so it is a great way to get away from it all. About 20km / 30 min south of Drake Village (an old mining community). Only one booking is accepted at a time on this block, so your group will have the area to yourselves. Please remember to remove all their rubbish on departure; there are no bins on site. Campfires are welcome - there is fallen timber around for gathering. There are no toilets, no showers, no drinking water, please bring in (and out!) what you need.

The River Block
We camped under big trees beside the river at Laurens and it was beautiful. There were only one other group of campers so we had our privacy. The river is about a 100 metres from the campsite. The water was fast flowing and crystal clear- beautiful to cool off in on a hot day. Firewood and a fireplace made camp cooking easy. Lauren greeted us and was very friendly and welcoming and directions to get there were easy to follow.

The River Block
Lauren’s river campsite was well manicured and she delivered a throne with a view. Our dog loved the fenced area so he could explore and we were assured he was safe. Found some lovely swimming holes within 100m of the campsite and enjoyed the beauty of the river. Plenty of flat ground to play cricket or frisbee, great area for a larger group. Thanks for a great 3 days.
