Maximum stay 14 days. This property runs cattle and two horses, we also seem to accommodate neighbours goats when they escape their own property. We have an abundance of birdlife, a few hares and the occasional mob of kangaroos like to thunder through the property at dawn and dusk. Free firewood can be collected around the campsites and firepits are provided. Campfires are subject to authority fire bans. Campsites are large enough to accommodate 2 or 3 vans, some more. Day visitors must book through Hipcamp for insurance reasons. Campsites are slashed areas not immaculately manicured lawns. Most campsites are fairly level but may need some leveling using ramps. We have 7 dams in total on the property and some are suitable for water play and swimming however you will note from the pictures the dams are muddy and they are very deep. The cattle drink from 5 of the 7 dams. No motorbikes allowed however bicycles are allowed on the tracks. Dogs are permitted but must be on a leash at all times for their safety and the safety of the other residents on the property both human and animal. Gold prospecting/fossicking is allowed subject to rules that will be provided if you choose this as an extra option – additional fees apply. No motorised tools allowed other than metal detectors. See EXTRA'S when booking. Please note you need to hold a current fossicking licence issued from the Department of Mines and Resources. You can obtain a licence via https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/activities/areas-facilities/fossicking/licences-permits/purchase - copy and paste this URL into your browser to apply for a licence. Most of the property is 2 wheel drive accessible – weather permitting. You must bring your own water and toilet – no digging a hole to bury waste of any kind. Ruby Rest

30 sites · RVs, Tents320 acres · Ruby Creek, NSW
Ruby Rest is a working horse stud and farm supply store. We are technically in NSW with our boundary fence being the QLD border. The property is located just 5 mins from the town of Stanthorpe known for its chilly temperatures, apple orchards and wineries. We are a family owned and run operation and are happy to share our little piece of granite belt beauty with happy campers. There is just the one toilet and two showers so patience and consideration is required, especially on busy weekends.

Back Paddock Botanical - Lavender

34 sites · RVs110 acres · Goombungee, QLD
Come and stay with us on our newly established Lavender and Herb Farm. We are situated less than 5km from the lovely town of Goombungee where you can stock up with groceries, fuel or gas at the supermarket, grab a coffee or breakfast at the local café, enjoy some retail therapy at the Australia Post gift shop or the (seriously great) op shop and then take a walk through the art gallery before spending the night beneath the stars next to the Lavender or Rosemary. Back Paddock Botanical - Lavender and Herb farm was established in 2023 and although not fully grown yet the plants add a peaceful ambience to the already beautiful countryside around Goombungee. Flowering time for our Lavender Plants is between October and January, so if you are here between those times you will see the Lavender in bloom. We have 10 self contained campsites around the lavender fields, including a group site which can accommodate larger groups of caravans/motorhomes. All campsites are well spaced and private, with non-potable (Bore) water available for washing up after dinner! Wake up to the sound of Kookaburras and cockatoos and enjoy your morning cuppa while watching the grazing Wallabies/Kangaroos and keep and eye out for Echidnas and Koalas. We love dogs and well behaved canine family members are always welcome at our campsites, however please respect the biosecurity of the lavender by not allowing them into the fields and please make sure they do not roam to other campsites. All campers must provide their own toilet, so self contained camp set ups are needed on the farm - what you pack in, you pack out - please respect our farm and the surrounding nature and leave no trace. We can also cater to larger groups as each individual site has plenty of room, please contact us to discuss if we can accommodate you. Please note that this is a working farm so we will be around working in the fields or farm sheds. NB: All Rubbish to be removed on departure. No dumping of caravan/toilet cassettes. No generators after 5pm in autumn/winter and 7pm in spring/summer. No driving of vehicles on any part of the Lavender fields and please stay on designated farm roads. Max speed 20km. No firearms. No excessive consumption of alcohol. Although our campsites are well spaced please be mindful of other campers and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.

6 sites · Lodging121 acres · Kooroongarra, QLD
We are on 121 private acres in Kooroongarra (about 25 minutes south of Millmerran in Queensland). We have a beautiful farm with lots of animals and wildlife, including koalas. Our region is renowned for its amazing sunsets. Kooroongarra is a ‘historic’ township with some really cool things to see. We own an old church that adjoins our farm, if you’re into that kind of thing. It’s also a short drive to Leyburn and Inglewood. We have 2 caravans available for guests. 1. A really cool small vintage Chesney caravan named "Kenny" set on a great location on our farm, with 360 degree views and bathroom and kitchen amenities close by. 2. A more modern 4 berth Swift Corniche caravan named "Taylor" with a shower and toilet and extra beds.. We have an awesome shearing shed (which is now wheelchair accessible) with a pool table, darts, a bar, piano, kitchen, bathroom etc + adjoining fire pit / camp oven area, . Fire wood can be provided. Yarraman Collier Lady D

9 sites · RVs, Tents88 acres · Ma Ma Creek, QLD
The property used to be a 30-head horse stud in the late 90s, but as the old folks got older and hung up the saddle and whip, it has been allowed to age gracefully. After taking over the property a few years ago, I have been slowly breathing some life back into its soil and cleaning out the old weeds (literally). Both sites are close to beautiful dams in the true Australian bush, with huge gum trees for shade and natural beauty for days! Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Pets are allowed on leash.
