Accomodation options include:  - 10 unpowered sites available which suit a variety of set ups including sites with your own private deck looking over the creek, shaded sites and sites with sun for solar - please refer to each site description for specific site size and photos. - 6 unpowered tent sites in our grassed where the main fire pit is located - no vehicles are permitted on the grassed area but parking is close by. - 3 private creekside huts / tree houses with stunning views, comfortable beds and bedding. Just 1 hour drive from Mackay and 2 hours from Airlie Beach and the drive here is beautiful too. Two or three nights is a good amount of time to be able to explore the area including Eungella National Park, Finch Hatton Gorge (Araluen Cascades & Wheel of Fire) while still having time to relax at the Bushcamp. We welcome you to our peaceful farm retreat. Each site has lots of room and a fire pit, there is potable water available and porta loos, shower too made out of a horse float, which is for guests who are not self-contained. Have a look though it is quite cute. We have 7 gorgeous Scottish Highlands, the Scottish folk pronounce it "Heilen Coos" so that's how we say it, I'm not spelling it wrong 🤩😆You'll meet Kelvin the Scottish Highland Bull, Oakley her calf Lucy, Willow and her calf Ferdinand (Ferdi), and our new additions Dusty and Maddi, they can be both fun and relaxing to watch doing zoomies around the yard, swimming in the dam or chilling under a tree 😁 Keep in mind from December to March we have hot, rainy summers. For the adventurous campers who use swags/tents, we suggest a stretcher and a gazebo with walls for a little comfort. Some areas need 4wd also. Check in is after 1pm and check out is strictly before 10.30am, we promise you will get your 'Heilen Coo' fix 😝 We have Souvineers and firewood please bring cash 😍 Be mindful around all animals as they get to know you, be smart please. Kids can bring bikes, must be supervised at all times, no screaming or running. Pets are welcome, we have 2 dogs Jesse and Cane, who are both very friendly. Our Maremma is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog, he does bark a little at night to protect our pets, which goes hand in hand with all of our other farm noises 😉 Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. It's totally safe. Feel free to put on some music and have a few drinks by the campfire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed, so we do not accommodate noisy parties. Relax and unwind with a book or go for a bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. Watch Sea Eagles, pelican, wild budgies, rainbow lorikeet and more. All your cares will feel like they are a million miles away as you soak up nature, we guarantee you will have an amazing experience. 6 Kms in at our historic Childers there is a Woolworths, IGA, great pubs for lunch, cafes and bakeries, plus a swimming pool, museum, snakes down under and Woodgate beach 25 mins away.

During the day you can enjoy a walk through the pine forest, and in the afternoon experience the incredible sunset vistas from our hill or from the luxurious outdoor bath. By night, sit by the firepit and gaze up at the stars while listening to the sounds of nature on the fig tree swinging chair. The outdoor bathtub is available for hire for the evening with prior notice, and will come with beautiful dried flowers, natural bath salts charged at $60 per use. We recommend our guests bring swimmers for the bath. During your stay you will have access to our outdoor shower and composting toilet with a view. These facilities are shared by 1 other person or if another camper stays, and we kindly request that our guests are mindful of water consumption as we are on tank water. Connection of power and water is an option for extra. Our campsites are also dog friendly as we love having your fur babies visit! However if you are bringing your furry companions with you, please ensure they are friendly with other dogs, kept on a lead and supervised at all times, as our baby chickens and miniature pigs like to explore during the day along with my dog who will constantly want to be around. Ready to explore outside the Farm? We’re just a short drive to Eumundi, Pomona or Cooroy for cute shops and markets, or venture 25 minutes to Noosa for a day at the beach and a variety of quality restaurants. I live onsite in another area of the property, but will be available for any questions or help. December, January and February are our hottest months so please remember we are 100% off grid with only fans and the pool to keep cool and fresh - no portable AirCons available as our solar battery system cannot handle it - unless you provide your own generator and portable AC for the bedroom. Please note that Porfiri Road (in places) does not do well after heavy rains! Motor-homes cannot make the drive (regardless of the weather) and small low profile sedans and hatchbacks will struggle - AWD and 4x4 no problems. Vehicles with lift will have no problems. Our farm features bush and cleared areas on undulating hills. We are 100% off grid with fresh drinkable borehole water The campsite has lovely green grass, access to the pool and a picnic table, and fire pit. Compost toilet, hot bush shower and rubbish/recycling facilities. We are a small hobby farm with Bee Hives, Dogs, Cats, Chickens (a few roosters) horses, cows and a couple of pet pigs. We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling. There is a lovely paddock for the dogs to take in the country atmosphere and located right next to the 40 acre nature reserve with 4kms of walking trails, what better way to Escape, Relax and Unwind. 69 species of birds have been identified on the property to date. We also provide dog minding services! Photo updates supplied. Cost is $50 per day (add to your booking). All you need to do is supply your dog bed and food. Recently our guests enjoyed a trip to Fraser Island and were very impressed with the service provided. So if you love your fur baby and you still want to have a holiday experience, just come and stay here and we can enhance your stay by giving your fur babies a holiday too.
