Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main lake that offers great swimming. Site five overlooks the lake and opens into a private bush area. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens and chooks around the house paddock. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of cattle and our 2 donkeys or set aside for regeneration. Dog friendly. Simple composting/drop toilet available.

Escape to our privately owned equestrian park, nestled on 20 peaceful acres beside the serene Petrie Creek. This retreat offers a perfect blend of rural charm and comfort, while being so close to town. On the property, you’ll find 13 horses grazing freely, along with 9 friendly goats, including adorable baby goats, 6 chickens, and 2 friendly dogs. Camp riverside down by the creek or on the elevated flat area where the horses graze, perfect for caravans or camper trailers. Firewood is available to purchase when making your booking and collect on arrival. A Porta loo is located between the campsites, and wheelie bins for rubbish and recycling are available. We also provide a bin for any food scraps which goes to our chickens. There’s also a large communal area with a campfire pit, close to the water for a great view, with steps for easy access to the creek, ideal for social gatherings. This communal area has log seating around the fire, hammocks in the trees and sandy tracks to the creek where you can throw in a line. Guests with horses can bring up to two per booking. You may set up a portable yard off your float or request a private paddock, this needs to be arranged in advance. Please note that stallions are not permitted. Horse-related activities, require at least one week’s notice prior to your stay. The creek is tidal, offering opportunities to fish, swim, or explore by stand-up paddleboard or inflatable boat. We own 35 beautiful acres along the banks of Yabba Creek. 3 minutes out of Imbil village, 12 minutes to Borumba Dam and surrounded by State Forests. We offer 4 sites, both powered and non-powered sites. Nestled along the banks of a pristine section of the Yabba Creek, there are large swimming holes for all water activities and shallow rapids great for the kids to play in. The Creek is home to an array of wildlife. Platypus are seen daily, plenty of bird life and a variety of fish and turtles. Please be aware that there is a fishing ban on the Yabba Creek between the 1st of August and the 31st October every year. The backdrop is a large steep mountain that comes to the waters edge, which is where we created the name of our property "Yabba Ridge". We have a variety of animals which are behind high fences, and are very unique and spectacular to look at especially at feeding time where you can get a good look at them up close. With only 4 sites, we offer a spacious camping area, spread out all to enjoy the views of the mountain and creek. Please notify us if you are camping with other campers who have booked a separate site so we can have you camping beside each other During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. Luke, Arna and the Family would like to welcome you to Yabba Ridge Farm. We own 35 beautiful acres along the banks of Yabba Creek. 3 minutes out of Imbil village, 12 minutes to Borumba Dam and surrounded by State Forests. We offer 4 sites, both powered and non-powered sites. Nestled along the banks of a pristine section of the Yabba Creek, there are large swimming holes for all water activities and shallow rapids great for the kids to play in. The Creek is home to an array of wildlife. Platypus are seen daily, plenty of bird life and a variety of fish and turtles. Please be aware that there is a fishing ban on the Yabba Creek between the 1st of August and the 31st October every year. The backdrop is a large steep mountain that comes to the waters edge, which is where we created the name of our property "Yabba Ridge". We have a variety of animals which are behind high fences, and are very unique and spectacular to look at especially at feeding time where you can get a good look at them up close. With only 4 sites, we offer a spacious camping area, spread out all to enjoy the views of the mountain and creek. There are clean amenities, toilets and showers, as well as running water at the powered sites.

Please notify us if you are camping with other campers who have booked a separate site so we can have you camping beside each other During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

River rd ranch is at heart of the sunshine coast being only a 10 minute drive to Coolum beach and Yandina, 25 to 30 minutes to noosa, mooloolaba, Maroochydore beaches, Sunshine Plaza, bars and restaurants! Being only 20 minutes to the sunshine coast airport it’s a great opportunity to park up your big or small touring rig to head interstate at short notice if required. This amazing property has views of mt Coolum and mt Nindery with some of the best sunrise and sunsets around. With easy access to the property we can also cater for larger caravans and big groups of people. Being on the river there is option for fishing and crabbing, we are only a few hundred meter walk to the Yandina Creek Wetlands walking trails. Camp Fires are allowed on site. (unless fire bans are in place ) fire wood available 20kg = $20 (cash only sorry due to a few nonpayers) Pets are welcome but we must respect our Neighbours with horses and other campers so must be friendly retrained at all times. Magical place with heaps of room on campsites. Good amount of shade/sun shared throughout the day. Looking directly at the tree covered mountain from campsite was an awesome backdrop. Dean was a pleasure to deal with and very friendly and helpful. Kayaks are an added bonus you get when camping here in which you can take down the creek giving you a great peaceful paddle along the base of the mountain. Will be heading back there in the future 100%.

Greatly enjoyed camping at Mountain View at Yabba Creek Farm. Plenty of space, and the very useful shelter structure for extra space and shade… even a spot with a cold “shower” and an outside sink with town water access. The clever side “gate” on the structure also allowed to close it us for some shade in the morning, or to open up for some sure flow. When the fireplace is all hooked up, it will be a great addition in that space in the cooler months. A reasonably short walk to turn well maintained porta-loos, and a still stroll down to the Yabba creek for a swim with the dogs, or a paddle in one of the free-to-use kayaks. A wonderful sized swimming hole, and a really enjoyable place to swim. I did find the Mountain View site could have done with a couple of trees for more shade on hot days, but the added shelter s structure certainly helps with that. This site is located at the end of the property, making it more private, and well spaced out from other sites… particularly good with our dogs. Loved our stay! Hope to come back again.

Horseshoe Hideaway Rosemount What a great spot for self contained camping so peaceful even on the busy times. Not to far from Maroochydore, Nambour and beaches a great pub with amazing meals and even better atmosphere. The creek is tidal so also running no still water for mozzie or midges ( however always be prepared for just in case) fire pits provided bags of wood for $15 Horses, goats and dogs are all very friendly. Jenna the host is so accommodating keeping the portable toilets and grounds clean she is a cracker who does not stop. Highly recommended this hipcamp if fully self sufficient for the guests please respect the property and take your rubbish away with you. Happy Campers Mark & Michelle

Kaylea and Dean’s property is amazing. So thoughtfully set out and everything you need is supplied, bush shower, toilet, water and kayaks to explore the creek and hopefully spot a platypus. They will even bring you firewood to your campsite if requested. The ecosystem is so diverse and healthy. We spotted many birds including the azure kingfisher. Set in the beautiful Mary Valley, this place is a must do .

We had a very relaxing time and the hosts were really great... There's quite a lot of animals roaming around the property and they aren't shy about dropping into camp and introducing themselves... Made friends with a donkey and a few camels! The dam is great for kids swimming... Will be back for sure... If you are thinking taking a break in bush surroundings you will love Hidden Camp!

Weekend Trip to Horseshoe Hideaway
We loved finding this last minute camp spot! It was very easy to find and was exactly as described. I loved the animals free roaming through our campsite and I got to pet the goats and kids who were friendly and inquisitive. Location was amazing a few minutes drive into Nambour to Aldi, supermarkets, shops etc. We had a really yummy coffee at Muffin whole in the old fire station, a must to try when visiting. Also was a big fan of the 20-25mins drive to Maroochydore beach, amazing to have surf within close proximity aswell. We will definitely be back to stay at Jenna’s place. Thank you :)

We stayed at Jacks Shack and loved every moment of it. The little structures around the camping areas make it different and they are an absolutely brilliant add on. The views spectacular and overall it was a very relaxing few days. Added advantage of close potable water and portaloos in close proximity an advantage. We will definitely be staying again soon.

We stayed for five nights and had a wonderful experience. The hosts, Callam and Leah, were fantastic from the moment we arrived. Callam showed us around and helped us choose an unpowered site. At Hidden Camp, we were delighted by the friendly animals that live there, including donkeys, horses, camels, chickens, and ducks. We enjoyed exploring the property with its many scenic walks. We will definitely come back for another stay!

Stones throw is the perfect roof top tent site, flat ground and heaps of sun for solar panels, the free kayaks were great and made the stay that much better, Dean is an amazing host that is around if you need anything

Where to go

Great Sandy National Park

A 20-minute drive from Boreen Point brings campers to Great Sandy National Park. It’s broken up into two sections. The World Heritage-listed K’gari is in the north (also known as Fraser Island) and the Cooloola Recreation Area is in the south, attached to the mainland. Climb huge sand dunes, visit white silica sand beaches, dive into the crystal clear waters of Lake Mackenzie, or venture into the Noosa Everglades to experience a diverse range of wildlife. Drop the kayak or canoe into the water to discover rustic lakeside bush camping options or get pampered with flush toilets, hot showers, and BBQ facilities at site-designated campgrounds for tents, trailers, and caravans.

Amamoor State Forest

Campers can stretch their legs on the many walking trail options in Amamoor State Forest, roughly 45 minutes from Boreen Point. Walk the Fig Tree Circuit that weaves through macadamia nut trees, capture snapshots of a waterfall, and scoop up yabbies from Amamoor Creek. Swags, travel trailers, and caravans are welcome in on-site campgrounds equipped with fire rings and flush toilets. Keep an eye on the tree canopy while settling in, as it’s a popular spot for birds to perch. Remember to bring wood for campfires, as the forest is off-limits for scavenging.

Brooyar State Forest

Enjoy pet-friendly camping in Brooyar State Forest, roughly an hour from Boreen Point. Campsites here are suitable for small tents to large motorhomes. Amenities like picnic tables, compost toilets, non-potable water, and fire rings offer more convenience. Wake up and take a scenic drive through the woods and make a pit stop at the sandstone cliffs of Point Pure Lookout. Catch views of the hoop pine plantations and eucalyptus forest below. Rock climbers can challenge themselves at Eagles Nest abseiling site, while hikers head to Glastonbury Creek to spot local critters like platypus, turtles, and fish.

When to go

Boreen Point sees slightly more rain than surrounding areas, even in drier months, so bring gumboots to roam around comfortably. Summer sees hotter temperatures as well as stormy skies throughout February. All that moisture produces tons of fresh flowers that decorate the trees in Brooyar State Forest. December is the sunniest month, making it a top choice for outdoor activities like picnicking and hiking. The cooler temperatures and semi-dry skies in June, July, and August are great times for rock climbers to scale cliffs without breaking a sweat.
