Quails Ridge Farm Stay

4 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents22 acres · Beerwah, QLD
For the festive season we have made all check in times 2pm and check out 10am - please ask for a late check out if needed and depending on bookings we could maybe accommodate a late check out. December, January and February are our hottest months so please remember we are 100% off grid with only fans and the pool to keep cool and fresh - no portable AirCons available as our solar battery system cannot handle it - unless you provide your own generator and portable AC for the bedroom. Please note that Porfiri Road (in places) does not do well after heavy rains! Motor-homes cannot make the drive (regardless of the weather) and small low profile sedans and hatchbacks will struggle - AWD and 4x4 no problems. Vehicles with lift will have no problems. Our farm features bush and cleared areas on undulating hills. We are 100% off grid with fresh drinkable borehole water The campsite has lovely green grass, access to the pool and a picnic table, and fire pit. Compost toilet, hot bush shower and rubbish/recycling facilities. We are a small hobby farm with Bee Hives, Dogs, Cats, Chickens (a few roosters) horses, cows and a couple of pet pigs. We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling. Please note that Quails Ridge is also home to Diggers Rest - A Soldiers Retreat and should you be a Veteran or a currently serving member of the ADF - please book through admin@diggersrest.org.au attaching a copy of your DVA Card or stating your service number. Thank you for considering booking with us :-)

Bookings are all made via HIPCAMP and require pre approval so I can make sure that horses are available if you need a retreat package and to make sure that everything will be ready for your arrival. There are many things to do in Blackbutt as well as spending some time at The Croft. Every 3rd Sunday is our market day, the renowned Blackbutt Bakery is always at your disposal and a great pub for a pub grub night. If you are a rider and have your own horse, there is also a great dressage instructor in Blackbutt – Yarralee Dressage Development – who you can book lessons with during your stay. If you are wanting more western discipline work, I can provide you with some basic instruction on patterns and ranch trail tips. The horse trails network is 500m up the road and has signage. I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. Dogs are also welcome who are well behaved and on a leash if others have horses with them. Please note that you MUST ensure your dog has tick prevention prior to arrival. Crystal Waters Cabin is a cosy, private, renovated cabin nestled in the heart of Crystal Waters Eco Village. Set amongst an abundance of native wildlife, the Cabin is the perfect place to relax and unwind or get out and explore the surrounding natural beauty. 'Crystal Waters Cabin' is one of the original dwellings built on the Crystal Waters Eco Village community, it was built back in 1980 in the 'hippie commune' days, but Crystal Waters has since evolved into a thriving 'Eco-Village' community. The Cabin gradually fell into a state of disrepair in the 2000's but has now been lovingly restored and renovated to both maintain its original rustic character while also incorporating all of the modern comforts and conveniences. The Cabin is one large studio style room that is divided into two separate spaces - combined kitchen/dining and bedroom/lounge. There is one queen bed and a comfy pull out sofa bed that is suitable for up to two young children as long as they don't mind sharing! The Cabin has a full cook's kitchen including fridge, gas stove and oven and dishwasher. There is a large north facing deck and a covered patio that opens out onto a large flat paddock, surrounded on all sides by pristine native forest. The Cabin has a beautiful outdoor bathroom with instant gas hot water, the shower looks out into the lush gardens but also affords total privacy. Crystal Waters is the perfect place to take a break from technology, having little or no mobile phone service on the property, however, with the flick of a switch you have wifi in the Cabin to use your devices and there is a wall mounted 40 inch flat screen smart TV with Netflix, etc. Crystal Waters is a prolific and thriving wildlife retreat and the Cabin is surrounded by an abundance of native animals and birds. Watch as the local mobs of kangaroos and wallabies graze at your doorstep every day and awake in the morning to a beautiful chorus of birdsong.
