Perfect place for family’s and dogs great access to the river great open space to camp, they have setup a perfect area with everything hammock fire pit chairs rods and a survival bucket plenty of firewood and even complementary marshmellows

I camped for a night at Platypus Bend with my cousin and her two dogs and the dogs had an absolute ball running free and in and out of the creek. Dane's communication was great, there was plenty of firewood provided and also some complimentary marshmallows which was a sweet touch. It's a nice private site for a little camping getaway.

Great location, very peaceful. Owner left plenty of firewood along with items go enjoy your stay including fishing gear.
Great communication and easy to follow directions.

We had such a great stay. Made a last minute booking on a super hot day, and Katie had a lovely shady spot for us and our cat. All the horses on the property were so friendly, and not remotely put off by said cat! It was kind of adorable watching them suss each other out. No other campers, and far enough away from the house so was very private. Would highly recommend.

We loved camping at Platypus Bend, it was lovely to be surrounded by just the sounds of nature with no-one else around. We are pretty sure we had a visit from a Wombat in the middle of the night. There were all sorts of games onsite for our use and will definitely be booking again.

2nd time we have been here. Love the serenity. Like that we saw finch's deer kangaroo and platypus. Bella loved the freedom, will be back. Would recommend this site to anyone wanting a peaceful private retreat

Fantastic spot with plenty of privacy and time to enjoy nature. We had a cattle dog who's is reactive and were able to let him off leash during the day, he was tied up at night and left alone by Cath's dogs. Would recommend for anyone wanting to get away and spend some peaceful time in nature.

Beautiful spot which was quiet and peaceful. The perfect place to unwind and relax. We managed to spot a platypus in the creek after some helpful tips from Dane. Would definitely recommend this camping spot.

It’s a beautiful spot! Very private and full of wildlife and wonder. Loved the ease with which we could make a campfire and enjoy a beautiful outdoor experience. Owner was also very helpful but not at all intrusive.

Great spot, very private and well equipped with shade structure, water, pit toilet, tables, chairs, fireplace and firewood.
Great for a family or small group getaway.
Nice bushwalks nearby, also a dam for swimming.

Really nice quiet spot with total privacy. We’re a 13+ metre rig and had no problem getting in and out. Nice and level, great firepit setup and we appreciated the fire being ready to go (as well as the pack of marshmallows!) Felt safe for our dogs too with the river surrounding three sides and a fenced off entry section. We all loved it.
If you are a long setup, make sure you don’t miss the entrance gate as it’s very tough to turn around further down the road. Don’t worry about the sign that says unsuitable for caravans, that applies to the dirt section beyond this property.

The experience was perfect. The campsite is close to a stream and a pond, with a great fire pit and tap water , a large shed to enjoy leisure time, and a convenient toilet. There are also several excellent hiking trails nearby, where you can enjoy the natural beauty when the weather is nice. It's easy to get in and out, and you don't need a 4x4 to get there(i drive a suv). All in all, it was an unforgettable experience. Five stars recommended!
