All our guests have access to 'The Shed' which is a communal area with ‘glamping’ like commodities. There is a full-size fridge for you to store your perishables, plates, glasses, bowls and cutlery as well as basic seasoning. As well as a toaster, kettle, espresso machine, milk frother as well. We have provided our guests with coffee, sugar and a selection of teas.
If you’re up for a friendly game, we’ve got a dartboard and plenty of board games to keep you entertained. Prefer a quiet drink by the fire? You’ll find a selection of books perfect for kicking back and relaxing by the fire.
Essential Amenities: Both the campsite and caravan have access to a shared outdoor bathroom, potable water, and power. Please note that we are located in the bushland therefore insect repellent is highly recommended. Mobile reception may be patchy at times.
We are Pet-Friendly- Small to medium dogs (under 20kg) are welcome but must be on a leash and supervised at all times. If your dog is larger please contact me directly prior to booking.

La Estancia Hideaway was the perfect place for a 3 night break away. It's spacious, surrounded by trees, quiet and very, very comfortable. A fresh and clean bathroom, huge amenities shed and even an open air bath. Our host, Magali, was welcoming and communicative. Highly recommended and we'll be back.

this place is so amazing along with the host - it’s an absolute hidden treasure that once you know you will return - it’s in a great spot for exploring the Jervis Bay Area - it has the best communal area and an outdoor bath in the forest that is private to your booking - I almost don’t want to review this because I want to make sure I get to revisit !! But Magali and her place need a shout out as she has poured so much love into creating a beautiful camping experience :)

Our stay was absolutely incredible! The place is gorgeous, the camping areas are super private, and if you book the bathtub… OMG, it’s perfect after a hot beach day.
The communal area is beautiful and has everything you need for cooking, having a coffee and storing your food — plus the cutest little possums watching you at night like tiny fluffy supervisors.
And the bathroom with the shower? A solid 10/10, no notes.
Magali was an amazing host — super attentive, kind, and just lovely overall!
We 100% recommend it. We already decided we’re coming back for a couple more days at the start of next year 😁✨

It was a beautifully spacious place for our two pups to run around freely, as the property was fenced (if not the individual camping areas). The vibe was quiet and calm - exactly what we wanted for our first time ever camping as a family. Jacqui was very responsive to any queries, and replied quickly over the app.

Serenity beside paradise. This wonderful location could not be better. Surrounded by trees and birdsong, the serenity is inescapable, and this is before you indulge in the gorgeous outdoor bath! And only eight minutes from paradise! Magali was a wonderful, attentive host who was there when you needed her, but otherwise left you to do your own thing. Amenities were plenty, and very clean. Very impressed with everything, thanks for a great getaway!

My family, our dog and some close friends drove down from Sydney to Shepherds Rest for a nice long weekend get away, and honestly aside from the wind deciding it wanted to party - it was such a beautiful area. The local fauna gave a symphony of sounds to wake up to, along side the crisp, fresh air. Jacqui’s property has a communal area with a cozy kitchen, clean bathroom space, seated bbq space and fire pits.
Jacqui is a super wholesome and lovely host, who is more than willing to try and help out for anything you need, we were greeted by her and her little shadow Brookie, a cattle dog who just wants to love you and check in on you.
If you’re wondering if Shepherd’s rest is worth the visit (or the drive, if you’re from Sydney) I can with confidence 100% say for certain. Just make sure to pack for the weather in the cooler months, cause it can get really cold of a night time.

I recently spent a weekend at La estancia with my girlfriend and my little dog Manuel, and we had an incredible time! The campsite was beautifully maintained, with clean facilities and stunning views of the surrounding nature.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for hiking and exploring.
